Seeing the queues for Betty’s tea rooms decided to look for another equally nice place.....we weren’t disappointed! Fab fab fab and delicious freshly made sandwiches with a lovely pot of tea. All served in lovely vintage china. A little diamond. Plus friendly staff of course!

Absolutely beautiful place, service by Louise and food. A REAL hidden gem. Gorgeous quaint little setting with vintage decor, and food is generous, homemade and fantastically delicious. We couldn't finish it and got a doggy bag. No probs with tastecard, so pleased we left a tip. Defo do NOT miss this place when in Harrogate!

Fabulous!!! The food is all homemade and very tasty. Staff are very friendly, helpful and natural in their manner. The tea shop itself is very quaint. Great value for money. Wish we had discovered Jenny's Tea Shop earlier in our holiday. Would love to come back😀 As a family we preferred Jenny's Tea Shop to Betty's.

Found this place few years ago while.going to wedding, then stumbled on it again yesterday. My friend & I where at the christmas market & went for a wander around. So pleased that managed to find the place again, what a hidden gem, staff so welcoming much prefer the atmosphere to the hustle & bustle of Bettys & with no queuing

We liked this place better than any other in the area. It feels honest and homely, not over dressed or frilly. Great food and friendly staff. We made it our "local" during our stay in Harrogate. I can definitely recommend the quiche, the ploughman's and the lemon cake. No queuing in the cold either.

Absolutely delicious! Would rather pay into a family run tearoom than Betty’s! 🍰☕️❤️ Dog friendly, can have afternoon tea without booking which is amazing!

A lovely find in an out of the way location. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the gentle bustle of people passing by. We had an omelette and a panini. I'm raving about the omelette - cheese and mushroom - one of the best that I have ever had. All the food coming out to other tables looks delightful, especially the afternoon tea. I would recommend here wholeheartedly.

This is a true hidden Jem. Jennys tea shop is at the bottom of the Montpellier hill area of Harrogate. We walked up to the very well-known tearooms in Harrogate, but the que outside was 20 deep. So out came google Maps and reviews. Jennys was rated as better than the composition, so off we went to find it . It's worth the hunt to find your way in. Straight to a just vacated table to sit down to the most amazing afternoon tea for two. Which was a little better priced than the other tearoom up the hill. The atmosphere was brilliant, and the staff were simply amazing. This is a special place for those who will not be taken in by the tourist trap to have their wallets emptied. It is small but truly perfectly formed in every way. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Lovely quaint tearoom hidden away in cute courtyard. Great value and tasty sweet and savoury options. It's only small so gets busy. Worth discovering though.

Brilliant! What a fabulous little tearooms. Hidden away somewhat but worth unearthing for sure. In by Montpellier Mews Antiques Centre. Has a delightful courtyard garden. Quite small inside but oh, so popular and I can see why. The two lovely young lasses waiting on were über welcoming, charming, friendly and helpful, real service with a smile. Sorry, I didn't get your names. I didn't land until 15 minutes before closing, but they were totally welcoming and happy to serve, which can't be said for a lot of places, especially on such a sweltering day and with so many customers. Very, very impressed with the service, just lovely. Reasonably priced menu. I had a Bunderberg Ginger Beer and a scone with cream. The fresh strawberry that came with it was juicy, sweet and very tasty, far nicer than my strawberries! I am going to come here every time I visit Harrogate. Splendid. Super. Wonderful. Service was a delight.... I guess that translates as very highly recommended, arf arf!!

Very friendly staff, arrived not long before the kitchens closed but the afternoon tea was excellent. Tasty prawn sandwiches, cakes and scones light and moist. The owner kept the cafe open for customers just wanting drinks and cake. Ignore the two hour queue for Betty's stroll down the hill and find this little hideaway you won't be disappointed.

My daughter and I discovered this little tea shop in 2019. I will never forget the tiny little friendly shop. The scones were the best I've had out of all the scones I had on my 2 week trip to London and Harrogate. Their strawberry jam was the most amazing that I ever had. This shop provided the best mother-daughter date. The ambience being cozy and quiet with other patrons close by. It felt like a gentle hug. Like seeing a best childhood friend that I hadnt seen in years. We sat right in front of the big window, chatting and eating sandwiches and scones with cream and jam and sipping tea. Looking at all the little items for sale. Teacups and books and linens. My memories go back here time and again to the magical little tea shop tucked into a courtyard across from a tiny bookshop. There were rare moments of feeling like I was in a quintessential English town invited to a friend's cottage. This was definitely one of those times. Thank you Jenny's tea shop, I can't wait to visit again!

Who needs Betty's when you have Jenny's Tea Shop in Harrogate? Yorkshire Tea, fresh scones and cakes whilst sitting outside in a quiet courtyard in the sun. Idyllic.

Lovely cafe, home made sandwiches, Scones and cakes. Afternoon tea great value at £28 for two people. The Scones are particularly good, crunchy on the outside and light and airy in the middle 👍

A little hidden gem, only a few tables and the staff were really friendly. Only a small selection of cakes - we had a carrot and a lemon, both were homemade and delicious.

Came across this small but little gem of a cafe on a recent visit to Harrogate. Tucked away from the main thoroughfare but only a stones throw from Betty's. I would highly recommend this cafe. The food is fantastic the owner is lovely and welcoming. Very very small but a giant of an established in my eyes. We were on foot so not certain about parking or accessibility.
