We reserved a table for 2 as it was a birthday celebration, I am gluten free.. the food was absolutely amazing, service was impeccable.. the while experience was utterly enjoyable. Would definitely return. The photos do not do the food justice. Staff were welcoming and very attentive. We had a refill of the sandwiches and tea / coffee. The cakes, especially the scones were sublime. As it was my birthday, they bought out a surprise mini birthday cake and had the pianist play Happy Birthday. I would advise people to book as when we turned up there was a queue around the corner. Can not wait to visit the one in York soon!

I have been to the one in York before but I like this branch more as it was less busy and short queue. Staffs were friendly and attentive. Price was reasonable and food was good taste especially scone. We ordered macaroon and more scone back home as well.

Went 1100 on a Sunday. Didn't need to queue but larger groups needed to. Friendly service and had a lovely window seat to watch passers-by. Food was of a high quality but expensive and small portions. The over £5 desserts particularly were poor value. Also had a number of drinks orders forgotten. Chose the single origin specialty coffee that was quite good, not too bitter and nice complex flavours. Atmosphere was okay, nice spacing between tables and comfortable seating, but the decor was slightly confused. Overall I'm not sure I'd return at these prices. Am more likely to recommend the main meals (we had kedgeree and the smoked haddock fishcake) than the sweet treats.

Very seldom does a place live up to the hype. You will wait in a queue but their military efficiency means you don't wait long to be seated. The servers are wonderful in their original style uniforms. Betty's leaf tea was rich and deep in flavour. I had a Carrot Guglehof was out of 5his world. My husband had Yorkshire curd tart and still raves about it. They even had oat milk for his tea. I am allergic to all seafood and fish and not a concern considering what we ate but wow the smell of fish was a bit off overwhelming. It would not stop me visiting again. This time.for a afternoon tea.

It was a lovely experience. The food was great and so was the service. There was a queue outside of people waiting to get inside, which speaks volumes of the quality of the food and service. The only problem was car park outside. It was difficult to find a parking place and then we had to pay for it

Great place to treat yourself, or your loved one on day out. If you visiting Harrogate I would definitely recommend visiting this place. Beautiful architecture building outside and inside. Inside is spacious, but cosy interior design. It's like stepping in to British traditional tea room museum. Service is great, everyone is very polite. It's no wonder Bettys Café Tea Rooms has been open since 1919. until these days. I tasted gluten free Carrot Cake and Yorkshire Curd Tarts. The cakes are delicious and the coffee is good.

This is the first time visiting Betty's in Harrogate. The wait time was around 5-10 minutes. Had the cinnamon toast and banana milkshake, both favourites of mine previous visits in childhood. The eggs Benedict is also a good choice and perfect for any time of day.

Well worth the visit! Great service, ambience and afternoon tea, beautifully presented. Even the ladies bathroom is exquisite!

Genuinely surprisingly lived up to it's reputation. Very nice staff, excellent food, not cheap but worth it.
Dishes are Yorkshire Rarebit with leeks and ham, Haddock Rosti with poached egg and garlic aioli, and afternoon tea.

I think I might know my teas better than Bettys! Ordered breakfast tea for two. Tea was very anaemic in colour and tasted at first like Earl Grey...on second thoughts more like a Jasmine tea. Mentioned it to the waitress who took the tea away to investigate. Came back with an apology that the main canister had in fact been filled with green jasmine tea! We did get our tea in the end but a bit late to go with breakfast which was delicious but by now half eaten. Surprised to still be charged for the tea!

Why oh why didn't I buy a cake? Had a fantastic cooked breakfast with potted tea and gorgeous toast. The service and the quality of the food was excellent. Bought some lovely gifts in the shop and even made use of their facilities which were also excellent. Never felt so spoilt! Just regretting not buying a cake when I had the chance...

Heaven right here on earth. I've been going to Betty's for 50 something years, some of my best childhood memories are the trips we made to see the Easter Windows.... And they just get better and better,....Fat Rascal fan xx

Very poor service, extremely disappointed as we were treating our sister for her 40th birthday. A shame really because we recommend Bettys tea rooms to our guests....

Thank you Bettys for going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our beautiful wedding cake got to the venue safely. I am sorry the venue make it difficult but you dealt with it really well and helped us massively. The cake was amazing and so were all the staff who helped us. We will continue to eat at bettys and recommend you to everyone. Thank you for everything.
