The Wellington has a beautiful menu that stretches farther than average Pub food. The specials are lovely and the service is great. A wonderful gem of a place!

We've been meaning to visit for ages, we finally stopped for lunch on bank holiday Monday. What a brilliant place we just had ciabatta sandwiches and chips but will be definitely back for a main meal one evening. The pub is very spacious but still retains that pub charm. We chose to sit outside near our bikes. Staff were very busy but still very polite and professional. Think I saw pizza on the menu so will definitely be in for one of those in the near future. Thanks so much

Stayed in the peony room , with balcony . Room is great , though didn't have a lot of storage . But it was great to sit out on the balcony. Food I resturaunt was good , though fish pie had to be returned as bizarrely it had come out without potato and cheese top. Also drink served wrongly . So attention to detail could have been better. Food tasted great though and staff were friendly and helpful

Came for a family meal with young kids. Service was exemplary from the young girl, attentive but not overbearing and very friendly at a good speed. Food was great quality and fresh, everything we ordered was well executed and tasted homemade with care. Even the kids sausage and mash, the sausages were really good quality meaty ones, not full of rubbish. Puddings were excellent, Creme brûlée and apple pie which were some of the best we’ve eaten. Great location and a nice atmosphere. Surprised by previous review mentioning bad service, I’d suggest you take no notice. All in all I couldn’t fault it at all, prices fair too for the quality. And it’s not flash or too restauranty, it’s just what a country pub should be.

We really love this place. Stayed twice and it is really a peaceful and cozy place to enjoy a night (or more) in north Yorkshire. Food and drinks are really good, place is clean and nicely decorated, staff friendly. What else could you ask for ? Btw, from some rooms upstairs you can watch the sheeps scattered around the inn.

Great food, great portions. The service from arriving to leaving was great also. The tables are nicely spaced so gives a relaxed feeling. Fantastic music playing in the back ground. Will definitely be back when back in Yorkshire on holiday. Keep up the good work.

An absolute favourite and regular tradition for us on a Sunday now to pop to the Welly for a drink and some cheesy chips! Great friendly staff, super cosy tap room, fab beer garden and beautiful location. Very family friendly and food lovely too.

Really lovely lunch. Very big portions. If they had been a bit smaller we would have had dessert but no room. Good value. Very good service

Booked a table for evening meal for my wife myself. The food was fantastic and the staff were awsome…so polite and attentive. There was plenty of staff which meant we were not left for ages between courses. 10 out of 10 thank you.

We were out for a walk when we landed on this pub on our way home. Lovely outdoor seating it is really pretty, lots of seating. A good food menu if not a little pricey. We ordered a burger, and I had the soup starter as I was not that hungry. Large beer and wine selection. We sat outside as we had wet dogs with us. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of young families eating so great for all ages there was a baby change in the ladies. There was steps down to the entrance we used so not wheel chair friendly but possible they have another entrance. Inside is all flat . If we are in the area again we would call in .

We stopped here in our camper van. Enjoyed a delicious evening meal. I had Spring Greens soup which was AMAZING and very filling. Hubby had a burger which he enjoyed but struggled to eat. Very good value and delicious. The staff are friendly and happy for us to bring our dog in.
