Stayed just for a Sunday night. Welcome was excellent, and the room was spotless. We stayed in a dog friendly room in the lodge. There are plenty of walks right on the doorstep. Although the weather was not the best, we still managed to get out. Had a meal in the bar on the evening with dogs being allowed in the bar area. The Sunday lunch was served until 8 pm. and was lovely. The staff could not do enough to make the evening great. There is a large outside area for drinks, but maybe next time, weather permitting. I would recommend this hotel to dog or none dog owners. I will definitely be staying here again.
We can not fault this place at all! Everything is exceptional, we have stayed in the lodges a few times now and they are absolutely spotless and extremely comfortable. The food is amazing, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! Breakfast is also fantastic. Great place, great food, great stay, great atmosphere! We would definitely recommend The Inn South Stainley to anyone, family have also stayed here and say the exact same. We can't wait to return soon!
Just stayed overnight in February, as a last minute break.
All the staff are attentive and friendly. The pub is warm and welcoming. We booked a table for an evening meal. The food was exceptional both in terms of quality and quantity.
We stayed in Room 8, which was large and beautifully furnished and laid out.
Breakfast was top quality and in a beautiful setting.
Although no longer a dog owner. It is very pleasing to see somewhere that not only welcomed dogs, but genuinely enjoyed them being part of the owners experience.
I cannot recommend the Inn at Stainley highly enough and cannot wait to visit again.
This lovely inn is a country pub with overnight accommodation available. Main service is drinks and meals, with a wide choice on offer. Although I didn't have alcohol, they promote real ale availability. Service in the restaurant was quick and friendly. No forced selling of products and for a Sunday, very busy. Didn't use the accommodation. Situated on a main A road, parking free if using the premises, register in pub.
We had a lovely nights stay in a room that accepted a dog .. It was comfortable and well appointed. The welcome was good , service was very pleasant both during dinner at the restaurant and a lovely breakfast with nice service too .. we enjoyed dinner very much . The hotel is just a short drive from Harrogate or there is a bus outside the hotel. Parking lots s very good at the Hotel and the bar area too a very comfortable and warming
Rooms are great, dinner service was very good, excellent meal. However, breakfast service only started at 8am & was very slow. OK if you are on vacation, but too late & slow for me as a business user. Location on a main road was good for access but means its a little remote.
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean, with a large bathroom. We arrived on a Sunday and after unpacking, we ate in the restaurant. My husband had the beef roast and I had a nut roast. The food was utterly delicious. We cannot remember the last time we enjoyed a Sunday roast so much. It was steaming hot, cooked perfectly and was so nice to have a nut roast offered. Thank you so much to the chef. The staff here are lovely too, with particular mention to Helen and Tyma. We both came down with colds whilst there and took advantage of the room service. The food arrived swiftly and was steaming hot again. We are planning further visits here. Such a lovely place. I would highly recommend.
This is a lovely place to stay. We had delicious food served for both dinner and breakfast. Lots of choice and loved the little extras like the breakfast smoothies and overnight oats etc. The room was really clean and well presented and all staff were super friendly. The grounds looked beautiful but we didn’t go out as it was raining! We would def stay here again. Thank you.
Fantastic amazing place. I have stayed here twice now and this time with my wife. Rooms are impeccably clean, warm on arrival during winter months and the furnishings are of the highest standard.
All staff are on point, well presented, well trained and professional. A lot of businesses could learn a lot from how this place is ran from top to bottom.
Breakfast included with the room rate is 5 star. A great choice, well presented on the plate and fresh.
My only one thing to take the breakfast to the next level would be to serve quality coffee instead of drip. I think this may be more to do with efficiencies though due to having one member of staff on during breakfast. As I said this is only my observations during my stays.
Would recommend to everyone without a doubt.
I love this place! Have not stayed as I am local but I meet friends for lunch and always have a lovely time. The staff are friendly and respectful, the atmosphere warm and welcoming and the food equates and can exceed the quality of other restaurants who are far more expensive and pretentious . Very highly recommended!!
