The setting and location is idyllic. Within Valley Gardens you couldn't ask for a better view. The cafe itself is small but very nice with a decent amount of seating. Unfortunately on this occasion I had a scone which was very dry and my Vanilla Latte wasn't very warm and lacked vanilla taste. But the staff are very friendly and plenty of choice of drinks, snacks and ice cream.

Almost always busy , and in summer expect a queue for the fabulous Ripley ice cream (some solid flavours to select from). Best of all your in the heart of valley gardens and and explore with the kids. If it’s raining there’s some cover to shelter … in winter pop in for a hot drink. This really is one of the gray places to refuel while mooching around.

This place is a little Gem. We stayed in Harrogate for a couple of nights and we decided to go for a walk through the park where you can find this beautiful little place. We popped in for a couple of freshly made ham sandwiches and a couple of coffees to take out and while we were waiting for them I told the gentleman serving that the last time I came here I bought a tub of Rum and Raisan Ice Cream and it is by far the nicest ice cream I have tasted, the nice gentleman went and got me a tub and gave it to me for free. If you are in Harrogate and have time to kill you can not go wrong with going to the park and popping into this place. People are so nice and the sandwiches we ate were so nice and soft.

Friendly service and great tasting ice cream. Shame they don't seem to do the special flavoured soft serve like their Ripley counterparts but the vanilla is delicious all the same. Update June 2022: Still great tasting ice cream, with lovely staff. Massive queue today goes to show how popular it is. Still a shame they don't do flavoured soft serve like the shop's Ripley based older sibling.

This quaint coffee in the valley gardens in Harrogate is a wonderful place to get a fantastic coffee and watch the world go by. It has limited seating I side but there are tables outside or just get a drink and snack to go and enjoy the park. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ice cream was enjoyable. Something quite uncommon in UK.

Heard about the famous Ripley ice cream...knew I just had to try it. Took a lovely walk through Valley Garden on a beautiful summers day, stopped off at the Ripley cafe for a break! Order a large ice cream for £3 and a sausage roll £2. Very nice indeed. My friend ordered a lemon drizzle cake, a brownie and sausage roll... Simply divine. Friendly staff and quick service. There's a large selection of different ice cream flavours. Nice seating area outside to enjoy! Will definitely visit again.

Really nice soft ice cream. Big portion too. They serve proper coffee too! Take payments both by cash or card. Toilets were out of order but there are other toilets in the park not far. Friendly staff. Seating available outside.

A fantastic venue for ice cream in the Valley Gardens. Good service, and the long queue in the sunny weather quickly decreased. The ice cream itself is delicious with a variety of different flavours and types of product. Fairly expensive but good quality. An enjoyable experience.
