We booked ahead of time and all was good.
You are send a reminder text and email.
Very large location with outdoor seating and indoor seating.
Plenty of seating to choose from and we had a cute booth.
There are numerous train related themes which is very interesting!
All our servers and staff who attended us we very kind and welcoming and came in good time.
The food we chose alongside our starters/mains are of a good quality and good generous portion sizes.
Everything we would said is fair and ideal in prices.
Overall we spent £30 a head with no alcohol.
No hesitation to return!
Very good spot.

Cute train decor, great food, and awesome drinks. Chili Mushrooms were big, juicy, with crunchy batter. Veg Manchurian had a nice, distinctive, flavor. Chili tofu was made with an airy light northeast Asian tofu. The Inspector was a great cocktail.

The food was amazing, with large portions, mocktails are large sizes very tasty. Great atmosphere and customer service, the staff are friendly. Restaurant is themed, hence the name bombay central. There is a booking office upon entry. There's a train on a track above seating area. Great music. The toilet area is downstairs, so it may not be great for someone with a disability. I was given a train ticket to remind me of my experience there. The outside area is great size, nice and clean. Would definitely recommend dining here and will definitely be coming back to dine here again.

I visited first time with friends. I had very good experience there. For vegetarians good restaurant to go there and enjoy foods . I loved there crispy bhajiya. They have many options for vegetarians but need to add more for vegetarians people. I can say you have to visit at list one time there . One of the best staffs with good service provider. An amazing experience from start to finish. The service we received at the restaurant amazing.
The food was as good as it gets and the portion sizes were very generous!
Would suggest booking ahead as it gets very busy.

I like the idea of themed restaurants and this one with its Indian Railways theme, complete with a running toy diesel train engine running on tracks above our heads is such a novelty in Harrow that is unmistakably unique. The rest rooms are also themed as train toilets and there are imitation luggage boxes and even the standard aluminium kettle tea pot stacked somewhere among other beautiful train models. And the food? It is excellent and does remind one of Mumbai! Well done can’t wait to go back and

We’ve had the most beautiful evening at at Bombay Central! The food was exceptional, extremely fresh and beautifully prepared. To push our wonderful experience a mile past the rest, we were served by the most attentive Sonali, who went above and beyond with her level of service. Thank you 🤍

We come here a lot because the food is so tasty and it’s a great Indian restaurant that is not too pricey. It’s become our go to as we’re familiar with the menu.
There is a train track running around the ceiling and a toy train passes through all the stations which is cute. Hopefully the train cabins are fixed now.
The service can be hit or miss though, you may have to remind them about your drinks if it’s a busy evening.
Other than that it’s a great place for a dinner out. They get busy so you need to book in advance.

Me and my wife had a late lunch in Bombay central, we had no idea they had a few tables seating out the front, we only ordered starters, we ordered corn on the cob, Paneer and Lamb Samosa and popadoms, loved all the food, all was hot as in temperature, level of spices and flavour were balanced, we will definitely come back to try mains.
Thank you Bombay Central

Popped in for dinner with a friend of mine who had been here several times before and had mentioned that I needed to try this place.
We started off with chilli paneer, lamb chops and veggie samosas for starters and my oh my were they awesome! My favourite thing had to be the samosas, it had a kick to it and was perfect. Crunchy on the outside and filling on the inside. The paneer had a lovely flavoursome sauce which also had a nice kick to it as well as being a ginormous portion. The lamb chops which were smothered in tikka marination was alright, they weren’t the best yet they weren’t bad if that makes sense.. mediocre at best.
Onto the mains… we got two garlic butter naans which if I’m honest I could’ve just had them alone. The best naan bread I’ve had! Accompanied with some pilau rice and one Lamb Rogan Josh and one Lamb Kolhapuri. The curries were very tasty with the lamb being succulent and juicy. The only downfall was that we asked the waitress to make the dishes above medium heat and both the curries came very mild… if not with no spice. It was a shame as me and my mate both love spice but the flavour of the dish was awesome so we just got on with it.
Would I come here again? I’m already planning my second trip so YES!
In my opinion… it’s the best south Asian cuisine I’ve had And I’ve had some good curry in my time haha.
Give this place a check out, they have an awesome atmosphere with the railroad theme and just lovely food.

Great food, nice atmosphere and amazing staff. I'd recommend Bombay Central for a great meal out.
All round great experience, food and venue, although a little more on the pricey side.
As vegetarians we had a lot of choice, and the team were happy to help out with menu suggestions.
Food:
We had Chilli Mushrooms, Chilli Tofu, Masala Mogo, Papri Chaat, Crispy Bhindi and Manchurian, with a Vegetable Kofta Curry for main.
Every dish tasted nice and portion sizes were quite good (although prices are quite high so we were glad the portions were good). The right level of spice for an authentic taste.
Drinks were also nice, with options including Thumbs Up and Limca. Their mocktail range is also good, with a Masala Cola that takes you back to India.
Staff:
Sonali looked after our table and was really attentive and helpful. Even after an innocent order error, the team resolved it very quickly and that showed a professional and caring team.
Credit to the Bombay Central team for looking after us well. We'll be back!

We went for a family meal of 12 people on a Sunday evening. The food was absolutely fantastic we enjoyed every single dish the cocktails were very good also and they do a nice pint too. Service was 1st class with very attentive helpful staff , had a nice chat with the owner Rishi lakhani who took time out for us and gave us complimentary pan and chai top bloke. The ambience and decor was very modern with a Indian twist I especially loved the tiffin dabha lights . We would highly recommend Bombay central and will be returning here very soon

Me and my family went there after a year 2nd time since opening we went yesterday omg food was not good at all we ordered Bombay also no salt not spicy at all we didn't say we wanted mild so why was it like that also chillipaner cube weren't cut proper they we joint altogether laziness whoever cooked that we ordered salad the expensive one with carrots cucumbers tomotoes and onions should be sliced up not in small pieces our salad we got yesterday was whole lot of lettuce cut up in small pieces as few bits of cucumbers and onions were was the carrots and tomatoes that kind of salad I get free in Everest and abecorn with out any charge also paying service charge on top of that do I go in the kitchen and get my food myself to avoid service charge that's what the staff gets payed for there are loads of restaurants that do not charge service charge so we leave some kind of tip if we are happy with the food and service not take straight out of the bill oh the not for getting the biryani veg had big slice of potatoes first time I came it was better but yesterday either the cooks have change something went wrong

Highly recommend this place. We booked a birthday party for 15 and Atul and Bombay Central were brilliant in accommodating us. The food is divine. I can honestly say they are by far the best Indian restaurant in North West London. The chilli chicken is to die for.

The hi chai was lovely! Definitely recommend! Service was great! The chai was really nice, as was the food. Could be a little more creative with the dessert portion but no real complaints here!

I’m doing Veganuary and I was so impressed that Bombay Central had a vegan menu. The chilli tofu was scrumptious and the rest of the meal didn’t taste much different to if it wasn’t vegan. Nice to know that vegans are catered for here PLUS they have Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Jain menus which is so refreshing when there are so many different dietary needs when you are in a group. Staff are superbly friendly and attentive too. Highly recommend!

Amazing place, very helpful staff, good service. Would love to visit again ! The food is authentic Indian food and I couldn't recommend it more !

(Vegetarian food) Food was average in taste so not value for the prices charged. Starters were better than the mains.
Service was excellent can't fault any of it.
Atmosphere was great and overall feel of the place was nice
We decided against high chai option as did £17.95 it was severely lacking in quantity and only OJ or chai unlimited no other soft drinks
I'll only return for drinks if I ever do , not their food. However having said that cocktail prices are central london prices. In central at least there is a happy hour ! So on second thoughts ... possibly not for drinks too . It's a shame as service and atmosphere is good.

Just got back from here. On food only I would give it 3 stars so why 1 star, simply put, the staff attitude.
From the moment we got there and mentioned our reservation to the manager we were told to finish by 8.30pm (which was not mentioned to us when we booked the table day before). And there was constant repetitive reminder by all the staff after to empty the table on time.
Upon mentioning whole experience to manager at the end, I was told 'we mention it to all of customers because we don't know how long people would take'. As a manager in a busy restaurant, you need to be able to gauge customer to customer and if you are already mentioning at the door then you don't need all the servers reminding them very time they bring the food to the table. Can't recommend this restaurant.

Their stuff، from management up to waiters all are very rude, along with very poor quality of food and service.
if anyone going there wasting money and will be disappoint ..
very poor for any angle you thinks

The food was good, not that extraordinary and absolutely nothing like Bombay. The decor was okay. They tried to give it the local rail station look but failed miserably. It was too noisy and congested. Too many tables just bungled up. Anyway, the veg starters were yummy. So little bit of compensation. Parking was problematic too. Not the most memorable experience.

Good food, great service ... despite the mixed reviews below ... personally couldn't fault it.
Crispy corn, methi gota and coriander paneer were personal favourites.
Maybe be an idea to have a kids menu ... as very family friendly venue.
Keep up the good work.

My family and I went there for the first time for a family dinner, however, we will definitely NOT go back there again. What was supposed to be an enjoyable evening, turned into a miserable experience. There is clearly no sense of customer service there at all. If you want to be told that you cant order more food, by their rude and condescending waiting staff, then this is definitely the place for you. At no point when we made the table booking, were we told that we had to vacate the restaurant by a certain time, or that there was a 2 hour dining period. To add to this, the worst thing is we even left the number here for the owner to call us with reference to this issue and we have not received even a courtesy call to at least apologise. This clearly shows that all the management cares about is greed and money and certainly not the customer experience and satisfaction that they supposedly take pride in.

It's plainly evident that a lot of thought has been put into Bombay Central. From the seating, lighting, to the finishing touches (e.g. screens showing train arrival times) it really is 'first class'. So often, a great concept does not carry through to what really matters - the food. I'm glad to say the quality of the food both veggie and non veg lives up to the ambience. Service is prompt and friendly. Definitely a 'journey' I'll be making regularly!

I dont know what type of service others have recieved but my family and i had a great time. The service was exemplary and the waiters were incredibly attentive to all 9 of us. I thought the food and service was far better then other local Indian restaurants. Ill definatly be returning here.

Nice food, especially starters. Methi gota is worth try, tasty and crispy. Quantity is good.
