On The Rocks

Just popped into on the rocks after a gig was cancelled. The bar staff couldn't be more sympathetic and friendly. They gave us free popcorn and nibbles and engaged with us and made us feel welcome. They then put food on for us as we were hungry and kept us entertained so much we turned a bar we were going to pop into for one into one that we stayed for for hours. Customer service and cheap food and beer. Couldn't recommend more.

A proper bar, eaterie, and venue. The people who own and run this place really work bloody hard, striving to ensure their punters receive the very best they can deliver. The food is great; the menu is pretty basic, but what is on offer far exceeds the price asked. The quality is good, presentation is delightful, and the service is friendly, yet not intrusive. At the bar you have a plentiful choice of beers, wines and spirits. All at very competitive prices. Considering this is a town centre venue, the pricing is exceptional. There are numerous rooms at On The Rocks, some of which are available for private hire. Having seen various buffets they have laid on for a range of events, I can confidently recommend them to host and cater for your party. Other than that, there is a varied entertainment programme for you to choose from. Comedy, drag acts, and local bands feature regularly. Even when there is nothing on, On The Rocks is an enjoyable place to visit. All the staff are great fun, and it is always worth dropping in just to soak up the vibe. If it were a little closer to home, I would drop in daily.

Very pleasant venue, with very polite and welcoming staff. They quickly made you feel at ease and made you feel that you have been a customer for years. The food (I didn't eat on this visit but will on the next) looked well presented, well cooked and good value for money, certainly worth another visit and further patronage.
