We was told this was one of the oldest pubs in Hastings old town, so had to visit. Small, quaint pub. The staff were friendly. We ordered some lunch which was lovely and fresh. Constant steady flow of people visiting for a drink. Nice clean toilets

Called in for a lunchtime pint while on holiday . Pleasantly surprised. Friendly barman . Nice atmosphere Decided to try lunch after seeing food coming out for other customers. I had the steak and kidney pudding which came with mash spuds peas and carrots . And a lot of gravy in a gravy boat . P
We popped into the Anchor, without any expectations, just wanting an evening meal. The pub turned out to be utterly charming with lovely staff and really tasty good food.

The Anchor Inn is magical! An instant homely feel with a relaxed and warm welcome from the staff. The food is home cooked with no fuss, a fair price and generous sized portions. There is a large ancient looking open fire stacked high with chopped logs, and lots of cozy corners in the pub to enjoy go

Huge thank you to the staff for saving our lunch with emergency toddler entertainment. Wonderful hearty home cooked food, cosy and relaxed ambiance and very reasonably priced. We will always be coming back.
Great pub in Hastings, dog friendly and had a lovely refreshing cider!
