Another wonderful lunch today. As always, the veg was fresh and plentiful. Both the chicken and steak pies were packed full of filling. I followed this with an extremely moist lemon drizzle cake (and a taste of cheese cake). Both of which were delicious.
We held my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary here and Stephen was very helpful with all the arrangements leading up to the day, he wanted everything to run smoothly and to create a relaxed atmosphere. Weve been a few times and are getting to know the Owner Steve. He is so accommodating. On a previous visit I said my husband and I like Baileys, so he bought some in, when he knew we were coming in.
The Vegan cakes are amazing. Moist, not too sweet or sickly. All 4 of us loved them.
The Christmas
This is a lovely little gem of a cafe, just tucked away from the main carpark. You can watch the birds while dining and taking in the view.

Found this place on the walk from Hastings to Rye. So glad we did. Food was delicious and very good value, and the people there were super friendly. We were able to sit at the back next to the open windows on a boiling hot day, and it was perfect.
Two of us had lunch - quiche & macaroni cheese, sticky toffee puds, wine & coffee for a very reasonable price. We sat in the conservatory area overlooking the sea. We'll be going back again.

Fantastic accidental discovery after a long walk. Friendly welcome, extremely tasty sausage sandwich (from a local butcher I was told) and delicious local beer. Best cafe I’ve been to for a long time.
