Super friendly, came here to watch the football, chatted with the owners and a nice local couple. Not many people as it was the middle of the day. Funky decoration, flags all around. Good cider. Recommend!
Fantastic pub with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Good pint of guiness and a great option for live sport. Other pubs in the area might have posher vibes and a more extensive drinks menu, but don't be put off by the comparatively simple decor and beer selection. Will be going back for sur
New management, Paul n Julie have completely changed this pub round. Fantastic atmosphere, good clean pint. Great place to chill. Small but great garden. If you like unpretentious company pop in. You’ll be so glad you did
Clean bar area of the pub, toilets were a little dirty. You're able to play any sort of music from a jukebox (7 songs for £3). Relatively cheap drinks. Quiet pub.
Popped in to this gorgeous little pub, purely by chance at the start of Pirates Weekend. Paul and Julie made us very welcome and the jukebox is fabulous! I'm ex military and loved the War Room which Paul encouraged me to write my service number up on. Great atmosphere and Paul is hoping to start a
A lovely local pub. Taken over by Paul and Julie only recently and they have transformed it With great decorations, different zones (leather sofas and armchairs at the back, A middle bar with jukebox, and louder front bar) They have opened up the old chimney and installed a wood burner, which is bet
We visit hastings a few times a year, and never been to this local pub before as always been closed, this visit it was open, and we were so happy it was as we found a little jem, home from home. The owners are so welcoming and friendly, they make you feel comfortable and it felt like we had know the
Decent selection of common beers and ciders. Well equipped with pool tables and pub sports etc. Also has multiple TV screens that can show different sports on each one. Went in there to watch the rugby and just found normal TV on, asked the barmaid if we could have the rugby on and she very kindly
Good pub, lots of screens for sports. They advertise a lot of gin but they're not always sure how to serve the more unusual ones. Still though, really good pub! Quieter from the sea front so a bit of a break from the more hectic places
Great impromptu night. Met a small group to see in the platinum jubilee with, cheap and well kept beer. Perfect finish to the night.
Great quiz night (quiz master needs a mic instead of shouting the questions) very friendly staff, clean facilities and good beer.
Great night out, very hospitable host!
Lively local, great open mike with Rufus Stone on a Thursday, and the best place in the Old Town for the footie. Also nowadays a gin palace.
The duke's got everything you expect from a nice bar : nice place, great beer (and a whole selection of gins), friendly people and open-mic nights. Be ware, you could stay there all night long
Lovely staff, friendly and chatty, nice chilled out place to have a pint in a lovely traditional pub.
