The food is really good, a lot of flavor (4). The smell walking into the restaurant is like sewage (0). Service is fast and friendly (3). Recommend the special dinner with a jumbo margarita on the rocks.. if it wasn't for the smell this would be a great place to visit often.

The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Mexican cuisine. Items are fairly priced for the size of the portions and the quality. El Puerto also offers a nice selection of alcoholic beverages, the margarita’s are very delicious.
There is also a good selection of more milder dishes for people who are looking for a more toned down Mexican food experience.

Simply put, great food and great service!
The resturant is always reinvesting back into the facility and the staff. The service is fast and above all very clean. The atmosphere is bustling! I've been eating at El Puerto for years, and will continue to for many more to follow.

Fajitas were a let down. Giving up quality for quick service, got my food within 10min of ordering. Watched an employee dip their hand in the 5 gallon premade margarita bucket for drinks. Good atmosphere and service but unfortunately I will not be back.

FOOD POISONING FROM THIS PLACE!! WARNING!
Pretty gross. Chose this place because of all the good reviews but I wasn’t impressed. My partner got a grande burrito and not only was it bland but he got FOOD POISONING from it!!! I got the supreme nachos and they were extremely lacking. Very basic topics, no onions, pico, or anything like that. Lacking flavor. Barely any chips too, and a small plate. I didn’t really feel like the staff was friendly either.

El Puerto is one of my favorite restaurants in Hastings! The food never disappoints, the customer service is top tier, and they have margaritas as big as my head!
