Amazing food and service! The pistachio ice cream is actually made from pistachio and not artificial flavouring. Everything is made with love. A much cheaper option instead of going all the way to Italy for this quality of food.
It will now be sacrilege to eat anywhere else when I’m in Hastings!
We visited here Cuz the google review was great. 👍 the owner was very friendly and staff are helpful and kind too. The lady said it’s like homemade pizza. I really like sourdough pizza.I can say this pizza was my favorite and the best ever. Dough was absolutely great.
I ordered spicy 🌶️ pizza and Gorgonzola pizza. My husband and I really enjoyed and we don’t want to eat pizza for awhile to remember this pizza tasty 😋 lol 😂 will visit again.
We visited Monellis after seeing all the great reviews - it is highly recommended. Staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We went for a Margherita and a Calabrese - and we were not disappointed. Freshly made with quality ingredients, both pizzas were stunning. They were large pizzas, I believe this is as standard. Thank you for such a wonderful lunch, we will be back!

Amazing!!!
The pizzas here are the best we've ever had in the UK.
We came to Hastings Old Town in February, as a couple, and came to Monellis then for the first time. We loved the pizza, the owners and the experience so much that when we came back in August as a family it was at the top of our list.
This time we had a party of 5 with our Labrador and the experience was just as good.
I had the calabrese pizza which was superb! We also had a margarita pizza with Italian sausage, an artichoke calzone and a roasted pepper pizza followed by cannoli which were divine and made in house.
The owners are fantastic; so friendly and personable without being overbearing.
Everything is made with fresh ingredients and the pizza dough is made in house and is out of this world.
I read a review saying that the pizzas were expensive and the toilet was outside; however I've paid a similar price for pizza at chain restaurants in the past and had the blandest of experiences, in soulless establishments with robotic staff only there for a pay check.
At Monellis the staff radiate passion and enthusiasm for their craft which only adds to the experience.
The fact that the toilet was outside, tucked around a corner hidden away added to the appeal as my daughter and I played a game finding it.
As far as toilets go, this was clean and even had a potted plant in it so no complaints from me.
Finally, Monellis is set in the perfect location, just behind the main drag of the sea front, surrounded by quaint and quirky shops. Not a chain store in sight!
They don't take bookings but it's so worth hanging around until there is space.
Whenever we are next in Hastings Old Town, we will certainly be back.
If only there was a Monellis in Milton Keynes!
Perfect!! The staff is absolutely amazing and they make you feel so taken care of. The pizzas are fantastic and crafted with love. Definitely coming back
The food was good, and the service pleasant. The pizzas are large but expensive (service not included too), and the tables aren't large enough for everyone's food. They play background music at a medium volume. There is no customer toilet.
I had the best pizza ever at Monellis. From the first bite, I could feel the taste of Italy and especially the Pizza that I ordered "The Tartufata" I can say it was incredibly tasty. I have loved how Frank the owner chose the best ingredients to give his Pizza the uniqueness of a sensorial trip. If I would have eaten with closing eyes I could think to be in Sicily for the original taste of the Sicilian sausage with fennel, and the truffle instead send me back to Piedmont in the North of Italy. I would highly recommend this pizza restaurant. And not just for the amazing pizza but also for the very welcoming atmosphere that Frank and Francesca give to this place. So I can say that if you go to Hastings, having Pizza at Monelli is a must.
One of the best pizzas i have ever had. Even topped the ones i had in Italy. We had not booked a table, but the lovely owners managed to squeeze the 6 of us in. And i am glad they did! We will definitely be returning, and will recommend to anyone.
Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, and I’m half Italian. We had the Calabresse and Sei Formaggi with a lemony salad. Extremely tasty. Fantastic dough. Friendly and helpful staff. Yum.
Visited this cute restaurant today and i was amazed by the quality of food and service. Very welcoming friendly environment and pizza was baked to perfection, ingredients used were high quality..Will deff come back
