Had lots of friends telling me how great this place was so just had to visit. Initially it was very quiet as I went as it opened but filled up quite quickly, impressive for a Monday lunchtime.
Staff are delightful and very polite and attentive. It’s of good humour but appropriate.the menu was astonishingly varied for a smallish place, I was quite challenged o decide on starter, eventually settled on a delicious home made liver pate, with one less triangle of toast than would have been perfect, but I had some of my roll anyway. The Nikon jam was delicious too.
Main was a seafood linguine with a spicy tomato sauce I had a salad with it, was going to moan about the blandness of the dressing, but actually it perfectly complimented the spiciness of the sauce. Only moan, nowhere to place the shells. Otherwise it as lovely.
Dessert was a meringue Pavlova with Mango and Pineaple compote with cream.
Service is superb, the venue is lovely and the staff work to a very efficient organised regime.
Was it worth the trip? Oh YES!
Loved the place very clean well kept toilet, smallish car park, well worth a visit.
We’ve been coming here for years, it is my favourite restaurant and yesterday did not disappoint. Wonderful starter of prawns in garlic and chilli, and a delicious roast beef main. Always made to feel welcome from the moment you step through the door, I cannot recommend this place enough.
Another fantastic meal at The Blue Strawberry. Not only is the food amazing so are the staff. Would thoroughly recommend this lovely restaurant.
Have been going here for years and the quality of food and service and the warm welcome never fails..... Would highly recommend...... The Blue Strawberry salad is always a 'winner'. Very sensibly priced and I love the fact that the veg is included in the price, no extras for each type of veg as many restaurants do now....which racks up the price .
We booked for lunch, a post Christmas family gathering but it became a celebration as we’d received goid news in the morning. The staff could not have been more courteous and efficient. I live in Kent so not local for me but my husband and I would like to return. The food was delicious and portion sizes good - almost too good! I struggled to eat it all! I like the fact they support the local vineyard and the New Hall Vineyard sparkling wine was excellent.
Another amazing meal at the Blue Strawberry. My eldest daughter is allergic to all dairy products and she has been so well catered in the past she requested to go today for her 8th birthday. It didn’t disappoint her or us. AMAZING service, food and atmosphere. Thank you all

We went for lunch yesterday for my mums 50th birthday and as per usual the food and service was AMAZING. The waiter also brought out a special desert for my mum. This restaurant is a must to visit.
Went their for lunch for my birthday had a lovely lunch food very good and very tasty staff were very friendly and they wrote happy birthday in chocolate on my desert so would definitely go back
Great Food and service for a Mother's Day and 21st Birthday Celebrations. Nothing too much bother.Lovely touches like the revoving door, the library room table and the entrance drinks area, albeit its very limited space when it's busy. Thank you v much x

The food was absolutely gorgeous, cosy atmosphere, staff is amazing. It was our first time there and not the last that's for sure! It was also our 1st wedding anniversary and they added a personal touch at the end of the meal which made the end of the dinner a little more special. Thank you and see you soon ��
As soon as you walk into this restaurant you’re made to feel welcome. The staff are friendly and always have a smile. It’s always busy but never feels crowded and even at full capacity, the service is still great. As if that wasn’t enough, the food is gorgeous. Been a few times now and will continue to go.

A lovely cosy and friendly bistro where the staff are all too happy to help. Wonderful food and wine and an entirely lovely way to spend a couple of hours! We’ll be back soon!
An absolutely wonderful time was had by all 13 of us. It was for my uncles very special birthday. Richard kept us entertained the whole time we were there. The waitresses were lovely and the food spectacular.
What a lovely family evening- food was plentiful and delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming!
I had heard somewhere, ages ago, that this was a good place to eat so I took the girlfriend to celebrate her getting her new job. It was a great experience! It was busy, which added to the ambiance, but we were served promptly at the bar and able to sit whilst we waited on our table, as we arrived a little early. The interior was cozy and well presented. Every member of the staff was approachable and helpful. The food was amazing!! We had the venison and the lamb. Both were beautifully presented and tasted great. The desserts were an absolute treat too. A creme brulee and a fruit meringue. I will visit again.

A lovely restaurant with fabulous service for my Dad's 80th Birthday lunch. Really fresh tasty food, and a little extra surprise for the Birthday boy! Would always recommend the Blue Strawberry for a special occasion!
Literally nothing to fault about The Blue Strawberry! We came as a group of 6, which included a celiac child and a fussy veggie. They were so adaptable to slightly altering certain meals on the menu to cater. We all agreed that it was by far the best food that we had eaten for a long time, I highly recommend!!! The extra birthday treat that they had caught on to was a lovely extra bonus. The staff were amazing which made the whole experience a special one! Thank you! 😊
Superb restaurant in Hatfield Peveral, more than a Gastro pub, service was impeccable at a level one would expect in the capital and a very good food & wine menu. Yes it is not cheap but there are plenty of Gastro pubs in Hatfield Peveral but the Blue Strawberry is on a level on it's own!
The restaurant was very busy when we arrived on a Tuesday and that days a lot, seems people travel far & wide to visit this establishment and I can understand why.
Nothing was too much trouble, service attentive but not intrusive, we will be returning regularly!
Went here for a friend's birthday, very accommodating and helpful. The service was really good, and the waiter was very funny too! The food was amazing, a little pricey, but the quality was worth it, we also had a 25% off voucher which helped! I had Duck with dauphonoise potatoes with a cherry, brandy & orange sauce, so tasty. They gave the birthday boy a birthday song at end with a candle on ice cream which was a nice touch. The champagne sparkler was a lovely drink, it didn't last long! Would recommend for a special occasion, which appeared to be the theme that night, think we were the third table for a birthday!
Went for a birthday celebration on Sunday. Had a nice private area downstairs. Food plentiful and loads of it. Skate was superb, I was too full up for sweet, but a couple of our party shared some, again they were lovely.
Won't we leaving it too long before we go again. Staff helpful and unobtrusive. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for, well worth it. Keep it up.

Always a delight to eat here, such a nice setting and lovely staff, good wine (and gin!) and wonderful food. The chef's pie was steak & ale with stilton... the tart was from the specials, lobster bisque recommended by one of the lovely staff and it was delicious 😋
One of our party’s was in a wheelchair and the team were so attentive and went out of their way to help us and make sure they were comfortable. The food was delicious, so much so that we did not have space for a desert. A really enjoyable evening. Thank you.
