Review The Queen's Head - Hawkedon

Scrumpy Dave
We had a lovely evening at The Hawkedon Queens Head. On arrival we found the carpark full & the pub full of happy people. We all had lovely meals ( which were large & very tasty).A good choice of beers 🍻 & cider for every one. A remote pub but well worth a visit. Will definitely go there again.

Annual visit to take part in the Summer Solstice burning of the Straw man event organised by Little Egypt Morris. Great free beer for us Morris persons which is always appreciated. As ever a good evening - lots of Morris sides and a huge audience. Roll on 2024

Fantastic find, recommended to us by a couple who live locally. Characterful building inside and out, much smaller than it appears but it is home to the most welcoming host and friendly group of local patrons. Fine selection of drinks and the food is really lovely. Wanted to eat there again during our week's stay in the area but it was fully booked. Lost a piece of jewellery at some point and, quite literally, everyone there set about looking for it, it was amazing how helpful they were. Totally blown away by their concern and kindness. (It turned up, so all good!).

Ate on on a Friday night and a Sunday lunchtime while staying nearby. Both meals were absolutely delicious and staff were very friendly and welcoming. One of the best pubs we’ve eaten in for a long time!

Lovely lunch. Highly recommended the roast. Do be aware - its popular. So service time can reflect that. But it's popular for a reason. Good food! So chill out, and go with the flow. The food is worth the wait.

Came here for the pizza following a recommendation. Was not disappointed! Probably the best pizzas you’ll find in the Bury area. The pub itself is also a beautiful place and the beer garden is perfect on summers evenings with great views of the rolling countryside.
