What a great find in a beautiful village. Made to feel very welcome, friendly staff, even reserved us sofa's in the bar for us to sit and enjoy evening entertainment. Great host, very nice and tidy rooms, perfect breakfast and great atmosphere with a love band. Prices are not to expensive and it's well worth the visit, the chippy next door even do table service into the hotel bar area. Great stay if your looking.

Parking is close by and only a two minute walk from car to the Sun Inn.
Breakfast was great.
Immaculately clean room and very well presented, as was the whole place. Great bar with some quality beers including Erdinger. Andy and the staff were super and couldn't do enough for us. Excellent location in Hawkshead village and only 10-15 minutes drive from Windermere and Coniston. We'll definit
The owner Andy was brilliant, he booked us tables for the evening and really looked after us all, he was so obliging nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to return soon.
Best pub and bar in the whole of the lakes, owner is amazing and great beer and live music

Stayed two nights, our first time staying in Hawkshead, but had been dozen of times as children when we lived in Cumbria. Really enjoyed our stay - the Hotel, the Room, the Breakfast and especially all of the staff, were fantastic.
Stayed here with friends for 2nights.rooms lovely, breakfast excellent,staff couldn't have been more welcoming would highly recommend.
We have now stayed here twice and it’s where we’ll stay again on our next visit to the Lakes. The rooms have all recently been refurbished to a high standard, the beds are really comfortable and as others have said, the breakfast is amazing. The staff are super friendly and the bar is a great place
