Absolutely fantastic place. I’m rather late leaving this review as I thought I’d left one when we stayed in February 😂 But I’m leaving it now. My partner and I came here for our first getaway together. The staff were incredibly welcoming without being “too” customer focussed that it comes over as fa
Booked last minute so took last available room. Room 5; lovely room, very comfortable bed. Shower could have done with a little more power but aside of that - great. 1 member of the team taking orders for food & serving and checking in & 1 member of the team serving drinks; both incredibly busy; how
Lovely pub and bloomin tasty grub. Dog friendly. Staff were lovely and very friendly. Will certainly be visiting again! I had the vegan nut roast and it was delicious 😋
The friendliest staff, great refurbished rooms and gorgeous bathrooms, a very artistic chef who's food tastes as good as it looks. I chose this picture of my fried egg for breakfast because this was literally the most beautiful fried egg I've ever had the pleasure of eating. A warm and cosy dining r
Excellent lunch, great real ale and fantastic service with the children. Even provided a bowl of custard free of charge. Great atmosphere 🤩
Amazing staff, very down to earth and easy to talk to. No worries about anything we might have wanted. Super accommodating, even with a young child. Rooms were ideal for what we were after and very impressed with the price especially considering the excellent quality of food included.
The room, the dinner and the service were excellent. Great atmosphere in the bar and lovely setting. The bedroom was comfortable and the decor really and facilities very good. A bit let down by the state of the ensuite shower room which needs a bit of TLC.
Comfortable hotel with great bar and very good restaurant in the picturesque village of Hawkshead. The refurbished room was really good with a good-sized en suite bathroom. Pie night on Thursdays is not to be missed. Great selection of local, national and international beers.
First class, dog-friendly pub with excellent food and comfortable, clean rooms. All staff super-friendly. Very useful to have use of a car parking permit for the duration of our stay. We will be back!
Great meals served here. Staff really friendly and helpful with ideas for drinks. Centrally located, but book if wanting a meal on a night as gets very busy.x We stayed here as a family of 4, very good value for money, room was massive, breakfast was amazing.
The staff were accommodating and despite being extremely busy were on top of taking care of all customers. The food was equally exceptional to the service. We had the mussel starter and the goat cheese starter which we could have ate ten of. The steak and ale pie was everything you would want and mo
Great service, gorgeous food, but can't comment on the rooms as didn't stay here. Dog friendly and was fine for my small dog, but not really big enough for big dogs inside due to the quaint layout. Outside space available, but wasps rife in August.
Really nice little pub with friendly staff. I'm typical British fashion, they're less accommodating to out-of-the-usual request (including unbooked for food) which upset some of the people staying locally (and caused me to eat instant noodles the first night) but overall fantastic range of drinks,
We came here for a Lovely weekend away with our dogs and we where not disappointed! We had a very warm welcome by the manager Amy who gave us everything we needed to know about the area and our booking. The place seemed very busy but that didn’t stop the staff from smiling and laughing with each ot
