Charming Aladdin's cave of treasures with a lovely little café and a gently hippyish vibe. Great coffee and cake too.

Great vibe to the place.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. The flat white was the best I've had in a long time and my partner's hot chocolate was perfect. Had a big slice of cake between us that was all kinds of incredible. The shop is also well worth a wander!

The nicest chai latte I've ever had, so smooth and creamy. Would recommend.

Such a lovely place to wander through. Great for so many things gifts, cards, books, clothes and many household items - the kind you won't get anywhere else.

Visited here last night on a whim. Live music was fabulous, atmosphere was lovely and laid back and food and drinks on offer were perfect. Staff super friendly and helpful, would highly recommend it here. We were also able to mooch about the shop at the back and came away with some antiques 😀

What a Gem. We stopped in on a walk that took us through Hay and only needed a coffee and a bit to eat so we decided to share an avocado on toast. The coffees were top notch and the staff were lovely. The food arrived quickly and was so well presented. 2 slices of toast and a generous helping of avo topped with some micro greens.

Such an interesting and characterful, attractive place! We chanced upon the Old Electric Shop when seeking a brunch (with gluten free options). We were impressed with the quality of the food and the welcoming, very helpful staff. Well worth a visit even if it is only to wander around and enjoy the variety of interesting displays. Oh, and the coffee is very good!

The vegetarian food served here is extremely delicious, very reasonably priced, and the service is excellent. If you eat meat, don't give it a miss just because of that - you'll find something you love! I'm a big fan of the eclectic layout and seating, and you can always browse the wares around the shop before or after your order.

Stopped here for some food on a very hot afternoon and ordered the harissa flatbread and noodle salad. Both dishes were incredible. Such intense and well combined flavours - veggie food done properly which is a rarity! 100% recommend, and if we’re in the area again we will be stopping by without a doubt. Dog friendly and a lovely little shop to browse in too.
