Ive been to Heritaqe 4 times now and its one of my favorite restaurants, the service and staff are always great and knowledgeable, food always impeccable and delicious. The cocktail flight is especially brilliant for those who are not a big wine fan. they dont rush you, in fact you are told its 3.5 hours when you book, as its an experience, not just a meal. Ill be back for sure, always a delight.

I booked a table as a late birthday gift for my fiancée. We had read so many positive reviews of Heritage and being local we were keen to visit. The welcome was lovely and we enjoyed a couple of glasses of local sparkling wine in the bar before being shown to our table. We opted for the classic lunch 5-course tasting menu with an accompanying cocktail flight and non-alcoholic flight for the designated driver. The food is truly exceptional, from the flavour-bomb snacks at the beginning of the meal, the starter of pressed duck terrine, a perfectly cooked trout dish that melted in the mouth, pork loin and belly that were just transcendent, a pre desert of strawberries, courgette and balsamic that just worked so well to one of the best deserts of Elderflower I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Food was presented and explained, as were the accompanying drinks. Everything was simply perfect.

I hired the restaurant for my 60th birthday. I had been a few times with other friends just 2 or 3 of us. Having to serve up to 26 people at the same time I thought it wouldn’t be the same. I was wrong, it was even better. The staff were incredible, really couldn’t do enough for us. The food was outstanding and the vegetarian options as good. The wines amazing on the wine flight too. A sunny day to see the beautiful surroundings. It really was perfect. Everyone was happy. Thank you Matt and your team. Excellent!

We had a wonderful dinner at Heritage. Each course of the tasting menu was delicious and plentiful, as were the snacks and bread courses served alongside. We ordered an additional course of slow-cooked short-rib of beef, and the restaurant manager happily swapped out a dessert course for a generously-sized cheeseboard to meet my wife's dietary requirements. We opted to select our own wines to go with each course, as the wine flight was a bit too focused on whites and our preference is for red. It might be good to introduce carafes of some of the wines so there's the opportunity to sample more without purchasing a whole bottle. Service was spot on: friendly and perfectly paced over the 3+ hours from when we arrived in the bar. Will definitely return, although the pricing means it's probably a special-occasion destination for us.

Unexpected find. Arrived for an unplanned lunch and were lucky to get a table. Had the 4 course lunch menu. All the food was very well prepared and stunningly presented. Unfortunately many of the flavours were not to our liking. So while a great experience and recommended to others it's not somewhere we will revisit.

We’ve been fortunate enough to eat at many great restaurants with stars and I truly believe this is one of the best we’ve had and it’s not starred! We ended up having 10 courses for my wife’s 40th and each one was amazing, the wines we had were outstanding and the staff also exceptional. We stayed overnight and the breakfast was also spectacular! We loved the room but it is looking a tiny bit tired in places but I would still recommend staying. I’ve recommended Heritage to anyone that’ll listen. Keep up the good work Matt and team!

Such a beautiful setting for an out and out taste sensation. From the moment you pull up outside its like the Hertiage gives you a big warm hug hello. All of the staff are beyond welcoming, friendly and professional. The food and wine paring take you on a gastrointestinal journey which is such joy. You know you are being treated to the passion of the creator. I would like to make a special mention and heart felt thanks to Kit our wine waiter. Her presentation of the wine and introduction of the food was delivered with knowledge and enthusiasm that was second to none. We where asked which of the dishes we liked the best, honestly I couldn't pick an out and out favourite, but what I can say is, there where 3 ladies all who would not pick or choose to eat oyster, well the tempura oyster has changed that. Just stunning. Thank you looking forward to returning again

I visited for lunch with my wife for her birthday. We tried the 5 dishes which were absolutely delicious. The chef is so talented the staff are all welcoming and lovely, venue is gorgeous and as a roaring fire. Highly recommend getting there early for a drink before your meal and why not stay for a drink afterwards. Quality of the food is exceptional especially for the price. Great for a romantic dinner or right up there for a business lunch. Will definitely go back to try the 7 course, don’t think I would manage the 9 courses but would be great trying. Good access from M25, A23 and surrounding Haywards Heath area, the restaurant is in a wonderful little location there are some nice walks around there in the spring summer autumn (winter if that’s your thing, I would rather relax by their roaring fireplace).
