Review The Pig & Whistle Pub - Healing

Had a fabulous family birthday for 6 grown ups and one little 4 month fella. Rebecca and the team did so much to accommodate our party it was fantastic and made a special evening, even better. Many thanks to all. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Came here for Sunday lunch. What a gem this place is. Lovely surroundings in the outskirts of Healing. Friendly staff, and great ambiance. The food was quite frankly outstanding. We all had either roast beef, turkey or pork and all were delicious. The portions were so generous, we could barely eat everything and so tasty. Prices were great. £17 for a big plateful of fresh food. Highly recommended this establishment, and will be coming back again soon. Moretti, Guiness and Inches cider on tap

Nice place, easy to park, very good service, and very reasonably priced. Good selection of meals and beverages. Tables were set out nicely with pristine cutlery. Used my sat navigation to get there but drove by as it's a blue sign that isn't particularly clear. I think the signage could be improved, but it did not put a downer on my experience as a whole.

Booked Sunday lunch for two The food was excellent Service at the beginning was super but then dropped off after the meal was served Just a small niggle knowing it could have been so much better Being asked if we needed anything like another drink and finished plates cleared away we sat looking at empty plates for a long time. The table next to ours had to go to the bar to get a drink. Not major but needs addressing. Most important part is the food which was very tasty piping hot We both had the set Sunday lunch One beef which was succulent served pink, mine was turkey which was just as good with a pig in blanket and stuffing. Both served with cream and roast potatoes, baby glazed carrot mixed greens and a wicked cauliflower cheese and delicious gravy. There are other options on the menu. We finished off with a scrumpy desert of sticky toffee pudding with raisin ice cream home made brandy snap and a puree of something, not sure of what possibly raisin or date. All of the meal was very good We recommend you try it for yourself.

As always, innovative and good quality. Steve and Charlotte have put on a lunchtime deal of a fresh-made, quality sandwich, exceptional fries and either a beer, wine or soft drink for just £10 from 12 'til 4 weekdays. Good, wholesome food and a beautiful setting. Must mention Jenna too....a great asset to The Manor. Funny, efficient and a proper knowledge of how to treat her customers. A rare treat these days!!

Absolutely recommend coming here! The salad with chicken is gorgeous, filling, and healthy! Don’t be afraid cause it’s “salad”, this will fill you up with the right stuff. Their cocktails are great, I got a Campari Spritz. Nice and wonderful staff and wonderful environment.

Went for fish and chips tonight, a midweek treat with the wife. The food and service from the staff was amazing 👏

Perfect little get away, we stayed in the outbuildings in the courtyard next to the restaurant which was perfect for the little ones as we were worried about them making too much noise in the actual hotel. Lovely place, staff could not to do enough for us and the food was absolutely fantastic! Cannot wait to return

Came here with friends and our dogs for the quiz night (first Sunday of the month). There is a great value 2 and 3 course menu designed for couples which included a drink. We also got a turkey casserole for the pooch. The staff were very friendly on arrival and really affectionate over the dogs and made us all feel welcome. The food was fantastic and service was quick and friendly despite how busy it was! Would recommend booking a table! The quiz was very laid back with a good selection of questions for all age groups. The pub has plenty choice of beers wines and gins and is decorated beautifully to give a warm welcoming atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and looking forward to venturing back.
