we went here today 4 adults and 5 kids, 3 years and under, everything we ate we loved, the staff was so helpful and accommodating and also the air conditioning was a nice treat in this heat. We will definitely be back. It wasn't cramped and we had plenty of room for pushchair, the baby change was really clean and had a nice mat on, so much nicer then hard plastic or struggle to get your own out of bag. Loved the vintage tea cups and saucers, i would recommend to anyone.
I can't thank you enough for such a great surprise afternoon tea for my mum's birthday. All her friends had a lovely time and I know that she enjoyed every minute of it. The sandwiches and cakes were all lovely and can't wait to return, it won't be long.........the service was top class and staff are all extremely friendly and haven't been to a nicer coffee shop. So glad that you are in Hedge End..long may you stay xxx
The loveliest little place for afternoon tea or a quick coffee and a bite to eat. The owner is very passionate about what he does and that certainly shows in the customer service, to food/beverages and the lovely tea room itself. The sandwiches and sweet treats are stunning to look at and delicious to eat, the team are all so lovely and friendly. We're thoroughly looking forward to the reopening here so we can come and sit in again, highly recommended and family friendly.
Popped in at 3 on a Saturday afternoon after seeing good reviews online. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed afternoon tea for 2. Nice and unhurried way to enjoy the afternoon. Food was fresh, tasty and well presented.
Had a lovely afternoon tea here as a birthday gift and was not disappointed! Beautiful fresh scones and delicious choices of cake with friendly, accommodating staff. Will definitely be coming back to try some more cakes! 😋
First time we've been here and would definitely come again, I had the vanilla and nutella cake and it was delicious, very clean and tidy, staff very polite and helpful and very covid safe. We didn't book a table, but they managed to sit us inside.
Can't wait to try another cake. 😊
Great little tea shop tucked away in the centre of Hedge End village, the staff are friendly and welcoming. There is outdoor seating but if you want to sit inside you really need to book. The menu is not extensive but that means it is all homemade and not taken out of a freezer. There is a variety of cakes but as it's so popular they tend to run out! I've even heard if you want a scone you need to reserve one when you book your table. Everything is clean and well-organised and we felt very comfortable there.
I had a friend visiting from Vancouver, Canada who was keen to experience English afternoon tea and scones and this little place delighted us all. The service was good and we didn't have to wait too long for a table on the day we visited. The scones were delicious and very fresh, the clotted cream and jam were just right. I was a little bit disappointed that the tea wasn't loose leaf, however, it was pleasant enough. There was a good selection of sweet treats available, I didn't look at the savoury menu items. I will definitely visit again.
Very charming, welcoming place to have afternoon tea and cake with a close friend.
A lovely cafe that does sandwiches and cakes. Lovely coffee and water is help yourself. Only criticism is they were running out of things like scenes, soup and certain ice cream. And in the rush mine and husbands food and drink got forgotten. But very apologetic when reminded. I had the quiche. Very reasonably priced. Hubby had coronation chicken. Will go again
Always friendly helpful service with a smile. The most delicious scones and cakes. Will never say no when friends suggest kettle and cake ;)
A great place, the owner is a good laugh, the food is excellent, the surroundings are clean and tidy.I spilt my drink and they gave me another free of charge
