A very well located restaurant, across the coastal area of Helensburgh.
The server were nice and food came in no time. The seatings are lovely too.
However, I believe they could improve a lot on all the food. I ordered fish and chips, while the fish was tasty and fresh unfortunately the batter was chewy and has no crispiness on it. Goes the same with onion rings. Quite bland and the batter could be more tasty, crispy with more crunch on it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at here at Palace Restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. The food was exquisite, prepared with precision and bursting with flavour. The service was impeccable, with very friendly staff. From start to finish, it was a memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone!

Had the most amazing cod big size perfectly cooked. Golden crispy presented beautiful. My partner had a chicken burger fresh salad big burger plenty of sauce and even onion rings on top was very impressed with the food thank you!!! 5star

I have been there couple of times and each time I have a great experience , greeted by a very welcoming and super friendly staff member, my order was taken swiftly, food was absolutely great ( delicious ), didn't wait long , our friendly waiter made sure we where well looked after.
IF you're around helensburgh and looking for a nice place to eat i would recommend you check out this place and try their popular battered fish and chips, bread and butter and pot of tea, it's an experience you won't regret ;)

We called in to this little gem in Helensburgh in July on our way to Skye from Dorset as we heard so many great things about it and we were not to be disappointed the black pudding supper was delicious and could have fed 2 people easily but i am a greedy little git and scoffed the lot service was very fast and the prices are way below chippies in Dorset and much bigger portions and greeted with a warm Scottish smile 5 stars alround.

Had a not great BLT and a really great stuffed crust pizza. We split both. The BLT was a toastie and I will never order it again. Avoid it. HOWEVER, holy smokes the pizza was great. Only £1.20 extra for stuffed crust. Yes, please. We had the cardinal, which was bacon and mushroom. Oh yeah and the fries/chips were the worst I’ve ever had. The pizza was great though!!

So away day in Helensburgh, happened upon the Palace chippy , we ordered two fish tea’s. Got to say they were the best fish and chips we have tasted. Soran the fryer made us feel welcome as did all the staff. Highly recommend this chippy value for money and great food

Me and my partner thought we'd have an early dinner and went inside. We sat down and ordered, the food was lovely as is always. However the reason for the 2 star rating was the service. It was horrendous and it wasn't even busy. After we had eaten, we must have been waiting for a good 20/25mins waiting to be asked if we wanted dessert. There was one waitress who kept fiddling with the stereo more. We had many members of staff walk by us to go to the nearby toilet and they had noticed we had empty plates just sitting there while we looked bored and nothing was still done. Eventually we thought we'd get up, pay and leave and got our 'dessert' elsewhere. We left being unhappy customers due to the service. Needs improving as this was the second time in a row it's happened to us.

Having dropped in to grab a bite to eat with my daughter, who is fussy about what she eats at the best of times, the experience was by far disheartening.
Firstly the order was incorrect, which owing to the rather large, long black hair was a put off was just as well.
Not wishing to play it up for the sake of a fussy daughters eating habits.
The second time the order came out, again it was incorrect and also sporting another black hair, although much shorter!!
At this point I decided Not to eat at the establishment and sit whilst my daughter proceeded to eat, but pick fault with hers.
What added insult to the experience was the price I ended up having to pay for a child's meal that went unfinished.
Not the most pleasant of experiences at all!
But merry Christmas and a happy new year, with any luck you can sort out the standards of your establishment in the new year.

Ordered double breakfast asked for my eggs to be burst as I don't like runny yoke my mother's order came out within 5 min but 25 min later my breakfast turn up with runny eggs sent it back to cook eggs the way I wanted it on return of said breakfast I cut into the eggs and still runny also never seen anyone wash there hands only wipe them on an old dishcloth

Ordered chilli con carne. It was like soup and completely tasteless. Also asked for a sprinkle of cheese on top which they had the cheek to charge £2 extra for!! Slow service also but looked like just one wee lady serving tables and that's not exactly her fault. Won't be back.

I watched the lady pick up a child cake out of the cabinet with the unwashed hands, she rushed to get mine and my friends order that she got it wrong , I’m not impressed with this wont be returning to this chippy lido or the sun it is next time

Waited 45 minutes for drinks, a further half hour before we seen any food. It wasnt overly busy but there was no organisation. At other tables, people were receiving main meals before starters, orders were all mixed up and one waitress was more concerned with her cd that was playing than she was with the customers. When the food eventually came though it was lovely, just a shame we waited so long that my son fell asleep at the table.
