Definitely the best prices for a pint! The gents at the bar are great and even as a yank, still had a great time. Would recommend again if you're on the NC 500. Note: No comment on food or hotel.

Quiet on my visit, but had a nice pint of real ale.

We booked this place last minute as a last resort as all the campsites in the area were fully booked. The room was warm, clean and tidy, we had no ensuite toilet but we were told that when we booked so it was perfectly fine and the toilet was right next door to the room. Friendly welcome at reception, brilliant banter in the bar, Donald is a legend and had us in stitches all night. We ate our supper in the bar and the food was fresh and really tasty and we had a good breakfast in the morning too. I would book again.

Very good price/quality. Does what it says: a room, a common bathroom.

Great pints at reasonable prices. Lovely beer garden on which was a very nice sunny day. Going back today for dinner and drinks so will update after Update Had a lovely meal here. Burger was very good, chips were excellent. Homemade macaroni was a winner. Great little bar and thanks to the owner for giving us a run up the hill on a very rainy night. Good selection of beer and whisky. Especially liked the staropramen on draught. Excellent

Very welcoming, great pint of Guiness and let us eat fish and chips in the garden when they had no tables inside to eat. Also the bartender is really funny/friendly.

Top quality barman banter and the sharing platter was perfect. Lots of really nice, perfectly cooked food. Might stop off again on our way back home from Orkney.

One of the most friendliest pubs/hotels I've ever stayed at. Loved it and very reasonable prices for their food.

The friendliest of all the many very friendly places we visited on our trip to Scotland. The rough and ready fishermen and shepherds we met there couldn't have been kinder and more welcoming. Hugs all round and they even dug out games and colouring sets for the kids.
