We had a lovely meal in the Harvester. Our waitress Lucy was fantastic! She was very polite and couldn’t do enough for us which made our evening even more enjoyable.
We would definitely go back there.

My husband and I had dinner at Harvester The Mallard in Hemel Hempstead. We were very warmly greeted by Danny (duty manager that evening) and promptly shown to our table. We asked if we could be moved to a different one in a quieter part of the restaurant (there were quite a lot of young children and families who were very noisy) as we just wanted a quiet dinner out. This was no problem and offered another table.
Our server was a lady called Linda and she was great - quickly over to take a drinks order whilst we were deciding what to eat, she was very attentive and noticed when we were no longer looking at the menu. Food arrived very fast and hot (just as we like it). We ordered a mixed grill (hubby) and simple chicken for myself. Both looked very good, it was cooked well (not overdone) and nicely presented; we both enjoyed our meals.
Feeling quite full, we still wanted a desert to finish off, we shared a Sundae, one with 2 spoons and it was delicious.
I would more than happy to recommend anyone to book at eat here, I’m sure we will be back again soon.
It is not an easy job running a restaurant, or serving such a diverse range of different customers; even more so when the weather is hot. Well done team!
One of the better Harvesters (in my humble opinion) and we've tried a few!!
Visited twice now and on each occasion we've been greeted and served by two lovely ladies, Karen & Shirley by names, who went that little bit extra to ensure that we had what we wanted, not overly attentive but there when you wanted them.
Food was very good too, high quality and served promptly.
A chance find while we were in the area for a short break, and well worth seeking out if you're ever in the Boxmoor/Hemel Hempstead area and in need of good, sensible, well cooked meals!!
Very nice venue, friendly staff, good service. All prices have gone up, but at least the food is good here!

What a welcome 😀 Danny (noticed name tag) very welcoming bouncy and friendly, explained all we needed to know etc.
Salad bar is back, slightly less choice then before but still lovely and fresh 😋 took a little while for the bowls to arrive as think slipped staff members mind, we asked another staff member who happily fetched salad bowls 🥣
Dinner was good 👍 and was enjoyed.
Ribs maybe not as meaty as I remember them and gammon slightly too salty but overall really cldnt complain !!!
Loved the decor inside very nice indeed, loving lighting and seating areas.
First time out as a family for a meal in a little while. Big spacious table, especially with having a child in a wheelchair. Our server Luke was friendly and super helpful, will definitely be back again!
Was really great when I took my son there. The staff were lovely and friendly. Food was pretty quick to be delivered and they were patient with his autistic difficulties.
We all had vegetarian meals due to his "let's not eat animals" decision and the spicy beanburger was amazing. He had pasta and the Earache had some aubergine thing which kept her quiet for ten minutes.
Must take her mother next time.
Incredibly help staff so considerate had my 85year old mother in law with us and she struggle to walk and no fuss no asking just sorted table near entrance it was so appreciated did not make her feel different so appreciated you made the experience lovely,food as always good M-i-L love her salmon and has to be careful with her food all in all A1
Went for a big family dinner tonight last minute and they managed to squeeze us in- the food was lovely, all came at the same time and was hot which is rare for big tables like us!
The service was great- our server was Luke, he was able pre-empt our needs and was very polite. He’s a credit to the place.
The toilets could do with some air freshener but other than that our time here was great. Thanks
Parking facilities, including disabled spaces, good - Parents early 90s. Wife and Mother disabled.
About our 3rd.visit. Normally visit Harvester in Garston, Watford weekly.

Linda our waitress was amazing so helpful and kind. We had a few children with us and was very accommodating and understanding of them. Food and salad were fresh.
The salt condiment was blocked and damp. Tried banging it but not much came out. Had to go to another table because no vinegar in the bottle. Everything was fine.
Really enjoyed our meal, Julie is a great waitress! It’s refreshing to actually get an attentive waitress who remembers the little things, asks how your meal is and clears your plates when you’re finished… as well as being able to have laugh and a good little convo! :)
Great location with ample car park. Staff very polite and friendly. Food was served hot and one more Harvester location added to our list.
Near by this Harvester there are some great canal walks.
Food was very decent and reasonably priced. Staff were super friendly and helpful especially as we came in close to the kitchen close time!
