A very nice pub offering excellent food. The dining area is cosy with a nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, providing good service. The prices are reasonable. There is space for dining outside, in the back garden. There are also a few pods at the rear garden for those who prefer to have a more private area for dining. Overall a great place.

Excellent service, food was very good, well cooked and presented, good ambience, seating and decor. This will be a regular dining spot on future UK visits.

Lovely Christmas meal here! The pod was absolutely brilliant, it was a perfect size, had its own heater and we streamed our Christmas songs through the radio inside. The food was delicious, we all loved our meals, couldn't fault anything. We had the duck parcels, terrine, soup, Roast Turkey and Pork belly for mains and a great selection of deserts. Ollie who looked after us was very attentive and a credit to the team here. We are very much looking forward to having our Christmas meal here again next Christmas!

We went on a cold and snowy Wednesday lunchtime. Consequently the pub was fairly quiet but warm and welcoming, with an open fire. The staff were friendly and familiar with the menu. I had chestnut arancini, celeriac schnitzel and Aogato An enjoyable meal; I'd like to got there again - possibly on a warmer sunnier day

The food here was really really good! The staff were very friendly but not over bearing which is great! I highly recommend eating here!

We booked a party of five for 1pm and turned up with 7 people an hour early directly from paddling on the river in heavy rain and winds. The staff were welcoming, the pub was friendly and the food delicious. A great experience and thank you very much.

Excellent date night experience all around! We arrived a touch past our reservation time, but the staff was gracious and seated us immediately. Very friendly, with the perfect level of attentiveness, not hovering (like is typical in the US, but not ignored either. For starters,we tried the Duck Parcel (AMAZING!) and the Pigeon Breast (also Amazing!) Then moved on to the Main Entrees. I had the Pork Belly, while my wife had the Sea Bass. DELICIOUS! We finished the meal off with a Bailey's Creme Brulee and a Roasted Vanilla Cheesecake. The Creme Brulee was my wife's first, and she loved it. The Cheesecake was excellent as well. All in all, a perfect evening, in a cozy, friendly atmosphere, with great service and food. Highly recommended, and can't wait to go back!

Lovely food but we waited forever for it (as did everyone else there). Nice atmosphere to eat outside on a hot summer evening - perhaps it was particularly busy for that reason because we have been previously for lunch and had good service then.

Once again another fantastic meal. We're not local but it's certainly worth the drive. Good service and well presented, excellent tasting food. Would most definitely recommend

Myself and fiancé were coming back from huntingdon when she spotted this pub with high reviews. I didn't realise it was a gastro pub till she told me later. The place was more like a fine dining restaurant, the food was flavoursome and we'll cooked. However the portion size was that of a fine dining restaurant so one would expect a higher standard for the price. The aparitif was welcome but the olive oil/ balsamic with the bread was not as higher quality as it could have been, the main was smaller than expected. Pigeon and curly kale was great flavour but for the price I'd expect a bit more, the sausages were lovely meat but not juicy as it could be all in all all good dinner just more of all fine dining set up than gastro pub. Worth visit but I wouldn't go out of my way for the food cooked for the price.

We dined with you on Saturday 17th October and considering it was only your 3rd night open the food and friendly service was lovely. Yes there were teething problems which we are sure will soon be sorted. The staff kept us informed of how long our meal would be and it was worth the wait. Would definitely recommend the food and the pub in general and we will certainly be eating there again in the very near future.

It a great place been there in the past and looking forward to going again as we just moved to new house a few miles away. Sorry to say Sunday roast beef dinner was a little disappointing wish the chef took more care when loading the potatoes on the plate 8 a little excessive

Lovely pub and lovely staff! Great food and also a gluten free menu for those that need it. Always stop here when passing on a journey.

Food was absolutely excellent and service very good as well. Food is slightly pricey but worth it as an occasional 'treat' when splashing out

Great service and amazing food. Will defiantly be back and would highly recommend. Loved the duck parcel to start and ox tail and cheek wellington for main - was too full for desert.

When you want a roast....I was very disappointed ......red cabbage I thought was a Christmas thing, roasted baby new potatoes, do not roast well......not the best roast I have had at the Cock

Excellent. Great atmosphere with a choice of traditional or creatively designed dishes. Didn't disappoint on second visit. To return is a must... :-)

We had a lovely evening. The pub was beautifully warm. We were sat at a large table with plenty of room for the six of us. We all enjoyed the food (it was a game evening) and the staff were so friendly, polite and attentive. Excellent!
