Little worried that our server did not know what Gluten Free was, but he dutifully got the manager who knew all about it which reassured us. Food was tasty, service good and very good value for money. Cheap, cheerful and not too busy in the dining room but lots of deliveries going on.
First time trying this place.
The service I found to be quite rude and abrupt, being made to feel like an inconvenience asking about different items on the menu, despite the restaurant being completely empty, makes me wonder why these guys are working in the hospitality industry!?
Asking for a glass of water and being offered a half empty bottle of mineral water which had been taken off another customers’ table was laughable.
Settled for the tap water in the end!
However, the food was wonderful.
The duck tikka and the lamb samosas were extremely well cooked, super tasty.
But the lime pickle was like nothing I’ve tasted before - so incredibly incredible I can’t even describe how incredible it was.
I think I’ll be slathering it on everything from now on!
Despite the questionable service, and the coldness of the staff, I’ll be back to try other meals as the food was superb x

Cafe le Raj is an absolute winner. The GF and i had nothing but good service and even better food. Missing South Africa felt like a distant dream after sinking our teeth into the soft flavourful lamb curry. We felt like right real tourists taking pictures of our meal but only so we could boast that cafe le raj is within walking distance of our home.
Absolutely fabulous; lovely staff and peshwari naans to die for. I will be back and recommend everyone to give this place a chance!💪🏻

Fantastic food, wonderful service and great hospitality . One of the most outstanding Indian restaurants in Henley. Value for money and the quality is superb! Staff were great and tailored the order to our requirements . I had a chicken Zala and the other half had a tandoori sea bass. To sum up this restaurant in one word - exquisite!

Walked here after Giggling Squid had failed miserably at accommodating us. They found us a table, gave us drinks and poppadoms immediately and we then ordered our main course. The food was so tasty, I'll definitely go back. The staff were very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

I have used Le Raj many times over the last months and have rarely been underwhelmed and never disappointed!
The quality, portion size and value of their food is great; filling and tasty. In house dishes such as the Cafe Le Raj Chicken, are great staples to top the list of typical favourites, and from fish to vegetable curries, the variety serves all.
Eating in, the atmosphere when busy is great, the lighting can be a little surgical at emptier times. Service is attentive and very friendly.
Taking away, food is served hot and provided in good quantity. Providing a discount for collection is a great incentive to enjoy tasty food from the comfort of your own home!
Fab food, decent service, and a good discount (due to Corona). However we were shifted tables just before food arrived and this was slightly disruptive to the vibe. They were apologetic but no special treatment. Also I think £1 a poppadom is slightly steep. Overall a good time would come again.
What a great place! We mentioned that 1 of us was vegan upon our arrival, and the guy was very helpful! Great service and people. The good did take a while to come though.

As someone who is ridiculously fussy when eating out, probably unfairly so I was delighted with this restaurant, a definite recommend. Good unobtrusive service, the Kitchen was prompt, even on a busy day and the food was excellent, and to my expectations. Thank you.
