Ranch House

My wife and I had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy, green beans corn and rolls. It was very good! They do need to open their salad bar. This would be a valuable addition. I have also had their hamburger steak with brown gravy and smothered in onions with salad before. It was also delicious! They have a great menu selection. They have a breakfast menu that is hard to ignore also. The staff is courteous, helpful and friendly. They have great cooks! Enjoy, it is well worth the short drive to Hereford!

The food wasn't that great like i heard it was, we had a good waitress but that's about it they also didn't have a cook they had said he left so i don't know what the situation was with the cook leaving like that but many customers were not let in due to him or her just up & leaving like that, also because of this they closed the restaurant at 11 a.m, in the end i do not know who had to step in and take over to cook but the breakfast we had was not good at all. There were 11 of us in our group that went there to eat, so I don't think we'll eat there again especially if they can't keep a cook or if they just walk out like that.

The ranch house is there and only old fashioned family restaurant within 60 miles of us, and its the best family dine in for those special family get together, they have large tables and booths, the waitresses are trained to be real waitresses who takes each customer very personal, and make sure every one has and gets whatever their hearts desire, they are kid friendly, and I love that they value their towns and communitys history, and the food is the best, and your order is exactly how you order it. The service is fast, the employees are the friendliest the restraint is very clean, they have great parking, and when you get ready to check out they have the cutest novelty items , and the prices are great , so if your in the mood for some good mom and pop home cooking, with a family atmosphere, the ranch house is the best place, you will love it!!!!
