The Merton Restaurant And Grill

Room was clean and pleasant. Was hard to get hold of them by phone before the booking but when they answered they were very accomodating and helpful. We checked in a couple of hours early. A hairdryer would have been useful but that's just nitpicking. Surprisingly nice hotel considering how cheap it is. Just needs a fresh lick of paint at some point and some double glazing. Would definitely stay again if ever in Hereford.

I don't know why some people complain about this hotel. My room was spotless. The bed was comfy, the room was nice and warm (you can alter the temperature yourself, if people use their common sense) and the the facilties (tea, coffee and toiletries) were well stocked. The room was nice and clean and the staff team were very friendly and helpful. If anything, it is Hereford that needs to be criticised, not the hotel. The owners are very friendly, but me being a northerner, and so are the owners, the people of the South don't seem to think we are actually FRIENDLY. We have just come out of Covid people, have some compassion for families and their situations. Anyway, overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a 3 star hotel so don't expect the ritz Good spacious room good WiFi everything we needed. Particularly like access arrangement via keyfob as you can come and go as you please. staff are very friendly and helpful. The housekeeper michelle is definitely worth mentioning as is very cheerful nothing is too much trouble and an asset to the hotel. Hotel is part of the city by a road. traffic noise has to be accepted let's face it it's in a city noise didn't bother us at all Left alone to your own devices. We had a very enjoyable stay Thankyou

Decent rooms for a low price. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious. Showers were hot and had good pressure and the location is pretty central. Only real gripes were the lack of staffing on the bar and we had very noisy neighbours who we could hear talking until 4 in the morning but that isn't necessarily the hotels fault.
