Fantastic indoor market and an brilliant little coffee shop inside that easily rivals any of the big names. Not to be over looked. Great coffee and a breeze block slice of a cake, along with very friendly and helpful staff service. Highly recommended. Also a huge range of market stalls that everything you could imagine at competitve prices, and all under one roof.

We were lucky enough to encounter Joe at Phillips & Preece Butchers within the Butter market (although we were actually in search of a bakers 😆) so our weekend in Hereford (& the week beyond) featured delicious local meats & fabulous homemade sausages & burgers! Joe was so warm, friendly & helpful - top quality service & produce 😃

This place has changed so much over the last few years. The new owner has transformed it into a hub of activity. Loads of new and exciting food stalls and the new modifications to the layout, stalls, and interior has made such a big difference. Loads of potential still though so it will be interesting to see where this place goes in the future.

Nice little indoor market located just off the main streets of the city centre. Has lots of independent traders and small businesses with a few cafés too! A couple of empty units sadly which is never great to see, but most were open for business and the atmosphere of the market was great! Definitely a little hidden gem of Hereford - and one well worth a visit!

Really loving what the new ownership is doing to the Butter Market. The traditional stores are all still there - key-cutting, birthday cards, butchers, sweet shop, tourist info etc but over the last year-or-so a number of 'Butter Market Days' have really expanded what's on offer. A range of tasty pop-up food shops and different stalls has refreshed the atmosphere of the place. I hope this modernisation continues and it's great to see a venue celebrating local shopping.

Variety of stalls. The florist has the best looking reasonably priced fabric flowers that I have seen in years. I bought several bunches for the cemetery to stop the squirrels eating the real one's 😂😂 The clothes stall had some nice bits. Tourist information had some good books etc for sale.

A huge improvement on what it used to be with a larger and different selection of stalls to choose from even a micro pub (is it the smallest?), There is even a stall selling Bubble Tea!, I hope the new owner of the Butter Market continues with these wonderful changes.

Interesting little place hidden away...... Loads of little independent shops and businesses...... From Haberdashery to toy shops to cafe's! Highly recommend visiting the Kupcake Kitchen, they are amazing...... They do wonderful cakes plus they have a gluten and dairy free selection and can do the same for their drinks too Not over priced either........ Has toilets by the large café........

I would second comments from previous reviewers. When I first moved to Hereford 4 years ago the indoor market was moribund with a dwindling number of traditional market stalls. In the last year a number of small independent food outlets have opened - Thai, Turkish, artisan coffee, bakery etc supported by a new dining area for general use. Footfall seems to have really increased and it is always busy on a lunchtime - this must be increasing trade for other stall owners. An example of what a vibrant high street can offer in this time of ever increasing shop closures and the collapse of national chain stores.

Thimpson's locksmiths. I needed a length of strong twine to stitch my leather jacket. The gentleman there provided me with a good length of twine which they use to repair shoes. He refused to charge me for it. It did the job superbly. Great gesture from a friendly and efficient business. We need more of them.

Great selection of food, produce etc. We came for an early lunch and had Pad Thai noodles from one stall followed by Turkish coffee and waffle from another. Both delicious with friendly staff.

The new owner has awakened what was becoming a moribund commerce location, the place is now buzzing! Really looking forward to what's coming next in what is becoming a great asset for our town, bringing more people in and revitalising the town centre! Keep it up!
