Wow. What a find... Fantastic food with real friendly hosts, very reasonably priced. OK the decor is dated, but with quality food who cares. Had 3 courses for £15 asked for a coffee and received a pot with a jug of cream. I will be returning

Good food, well cooked and presented. Decent sized portions. The set menu is fantastic value for money. We are happy to recommend this restaurant and we plan to visit again very soon.

Owners are vile to their staff. I worked here as a teenager and the northern wife would push me around to the point the customers had to step in. Traumatising! Decor is old fashioned. Place is grubby. Food is outdated.

L'Escargot is the sort of restaurant that's getting harder to find these days - small, family-run, friendly, and serving classic French cuisine at bargain prices. If you live in Herne Bay, then pay it a visit. If you don't live in Herne Bay (I don't), then get on a train or get in a car...and pay it a visit!

A small, quiet restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I had the pork off the Sunday roast menu and it was very good.
