Came to Herne Bay for a weekend get away with friends and went out searching for a fish and chips joint. Found star fish and chips in the high street. Great place to have good quality fish and chips with a friendly staff.
The fish itself was really tasty and one of the best I have ever had after coming to the UK.
The service offered by the staff was also really commendable. Giving us extra sauce so as to meet our taste requirements.
Overall would recommend to anyone coming to Herne bay and looking for a good fish and chips joint.

Really friendly staff it was our first time in Herne Bay and they gave us a great welcome. Nice sized portion and tasty fish and chips. Selection of different fish and other bits you can buy. It's also really close to the centre and the beach so easy to pop in and enjoy.
Flaky, golden battered fish, fried to order and perfection. Chips crispy on the outside, fluffy and creamy inside. Lovely service. Couldn’t tell you if it’s the best fish and chips on the whole Kent coast, but the best we’ve had for YEARS. Generous portions!
The best fish and chips in Herne Bay. 2 Turkish brothers, one works really hard cooking fresh to order fish and chips and the other brother keeps busy watching the football. A busy takeaway and a great team. And thank you for bigger portions.
My partner and I had travelled from London when we visited this lovely Fish and Chip shop in Herne Bay yesterday (21/05/2022); and we will definitely be returning. The staff were super friendly and welcoming; and the food was amazing and at a very reasonable price.
Would highly recommend a visit.
This is the best fish & chip shop in Herne bay,they know me & my son as Mr Christmas,the portions are generous & the price is similar to other fish & chip shops in Herne bay! But because of inflation the prices have shot up but you can get an OAP portion of fish & chips for under £7! It's all freshly cooked to order! So worth 5 stars! A+++

Friendly, welcoming service and fantastic fish and chips. Cooked fresh in front of us. Large cod and chips could feed three people easily.
Quick service, chips were nice and battered sausages were very good. Drove to the beach after and ate them while the sun set across the sea 👌
I walked from Recover to Herne Bay and wanted local fish a chips. It was delicious and the men there are friendly. Awesome!

The friendliest fish 'n chips shop in Herne Bay! With a 5 star hygiene rating too! The best chips always freshly cooked, with a big menu including veggie options and lots of extras so a great choice whether you fancy your classic fish 'n chips, chicken, pies, burger, halloumi, veggie burger, battered mushrooms or Mars bars, or even an omelette if you ask nicely! Of all the chippies in the Bay, this one is my absolute favourite.
