Ask Italian

Lovely meal out for myself, and the family. Waitress was very attentive to the children especially, felt at ease being out with them. Food was a little basic but I didn't expect much from pasta, others dishes looked better than mine. Kids food was perfect for them. We paid most of the food bill with Tesco's vouchers...of course drinks are excluded from vouchers so be aware of that if you choose to use them. I would happily return with the children in future.

Had a £ 25 gift card to spend. Sat down asked if my Gift Card was still valid, could see it was being checked at the till. Ordered food which was very nice . Waitress was polite and helpful food was really nice and tasty. Variety of drinks on offer nice to see. Had our food asked for the bill. Went to the Counter to pay due to the gift card. The manager was very rude as the gift card had a little dent on the strip as I had it for a while but was still in date and valid said could not swipe the gift card so could not use it. I told her to over ride with the code on the card. She told me she could not do this was not prepared to do this. I informed her I would not pay the £25 as I have a valid gift card for that amount and could she please override the amount on the till and I would pay the balance of £ 7.45 on my card. I was going to leave a cash tip for the Waitress until then but was very angry and disappointed by the Manager's decision. I paid the amount due and her closing comments was do not bring in a Damaged gift card. It was a Lovely experience until payment was due. I will not be going back there again and Hertford People please boycott this place.

I went there on a Friday evening around 7pm, from the moment I got there service was exceptional. The meal was excellent and came out pretty fast and steaming hot, the fact I used club card vouchers left me with change in my pocket. The waitress and waiter were fantastic and made sure everyone was ok and our meal was ok, Ellen was lovely unfortunately I didn't get the waiters name but he too did such a good job. I will definitely be returning. Good food, good ambience and great service. Well done ASK Italian!

Booked a table two weeks ago for 6 but restaurant could not find booking. However, staff were very accommodating and gave us a table that was booked for 8. Service a bit lacking; did not explain what shots were on the table or highlight specials and not very knowledgeable about menu. Food was lovely. Latte was difficult to drink as it was served in a fruit juice glass with no handle - very odd! Service let's this restaurant down which is a shame.

Very nice and clean restaurant. Good atmosphere. We had a family dinner here. The service was amazing, food was on time and delicious. I had the new vegan pizza. It was honestly awesome. As a vegan is hard to find a good menu in a ordinary restaurant but Ask Italian was surprisingly good with a lot to choose from. Kids menu is also good. Affordable prices. Definitely returning. Thank you guys.
