An outstanding tea room in a beautiful idyllic setting. I popped in here for some lunch before heading home after visiting the nearby Lotus factory at Hethel. The staff were brilliant, happy friendly, helpful and attentive. All of the food I had was simply delicious and well presented. The afternoon teas being enjoyed by fellow customers looked very good and I'll definitely be coming back to enjoy one.

When I heard about The Orangery, I expected a Victorian ornate, glazed timber building, The Orangery is not that. The Orangery is a lovely tea room with a partially covered outside space, it is dog friendly outside and offers a great range of cakes and savouries. We had amazing sausage rolls, which came with salad and coleslaw, and cake along with coffees and tea. The gardens and lake are glorious and well worth a walk.

Absolutely lovely experience this morning at the Orangery! We booked a table for three in the Marquee and it was toasty warm with the heaters and amazing views across the gardens onto the lake. I ordered the gluten free pancakes with bananas, mixed berries and chocolate sauce. It was delicious! The pancakes were fluffy and the berries were fresh. I loved the presentation on the wooden chopping board 😍 They had gluten free brownies too, and the girl who served us said they usually have gluten free Victoria Sponge. They offer gluten free bread for their sandwiches and paninis so plenty of options. I also had a hot chocolate with almond milk which was very rich. It was too sweet for my liking, but maybe that's because I had chocolate sauce with my pancakes! The grounds are beautiful to walk through and the staff were extremely friendly and cheerful. They were helpful about answering questions on gluten free options, and the service was quick from when we ordered to the food arriving. Would highly recommend to everyone. We will definitely be back to try more of their delicious food. Thank you Orangery staff!

What a beautiful place to relax and have great food and drinks. My first visit to The Orangery with my wife (her second time) and this is a place we will definitely be returning. A lovely stroll from the car park to the tea room. Seating available inside and out, we sat outside on a beautiful sunny morning. On arrival we were greeted by all members of staff which is usually rare anywhere you go, which was really nice. The service was really good. The food is so fresh and the pancakes we had were the best we have ever eaten. Would highly recommend booking as it got busy quickly after our arrival at 10am. The scenery is beautiful, especially with there being a lake.

We booked brunch here whilst staying in one of the shepherds’ huts. It truly did not disappoint: a platter piled high with fruit to accompany the deliciously fluffy pancakes; mouthwatering homemade granola on top of yoghurt, and mini pastries - if you have any room left! No matter if not, sip your way through a coffee or two and admire the stunning views across the lake whilst you let the first course go down! The Orangery Tea Room is in a conservatory at the back of the beautiful Ketteringham Hall. Apart from the walled gardens which host weddings during the summer, guests are free to walk around the grounds, enjoying the archetypal Capability Brown landscape and tiny estate church - even the impressive memorials to generations of beloved family canine companions! Take away also available and we hear the sausage rolls are delicious too!

It really is a lovely place out in the Norfolk countryside. Once parked you walk around a huge country Manor and then you see it. I can't fault it at all. There were 4 of us 2 had a savoury afternoon tea and the other 2 a afternoon cream tea. Both were beautifully served and the food gorgeous. Thoroughly recommended

Nice food, conscientious staff, great location. I had the salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, which came with a side salad. Everything was tasty, though in my last sandwich I experienced what I can only describe as some kind of grit, as if something had gotten into the bread while it was being produced. My overall opinion of The Orangery is that it's a nice place to go for lunch, or just tea, with staff that seem to want to make sure that you, as a customer, are satisfied. Absolutely lovely location. Would go again!

Lovely picturesque location for a special birthday treat of afternoon tea with daughter and granddaughter. The afternoon tea however was a little underwhelming with only two different fillings for the finger sandwiches. Most of the cakes, though delicious, were mainly bite size. A little overpriced for the offering. No complaints about the service as the staff were friendly and attentive.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here! The staff are very lovely and accommodating and wore PPE at all times. Tables were adequately spaced apart and payment was taken from the table without having to go in the building. The food was absolutely delicious and more than enough for 2 with a big pot of tea. Tables under cover with heaters are available for more overcast days. Would 100% recommend and will be visiting again!!

A wonderful place to visit with family or friends. A hidden gem. A gorgeous lake to look at as the view. I prefer visiting in the warmer months, but they have a marquee with large warm heaters for the cold months. A few indoor seating but must book for these. Beautiful cakes and hot drinks. They do lunch and breakfast. I've had afternoon tea here for my Hen Do in 2020. We had afternoon tea in takeaway boxes and sat on the grass by the lake due to the Covid restrictions at the time. Staff are very friendly. Staff member Caroline is always so friendly and welcoming during our visit.

Wow! Visited the Orangery Tea Room this afternoon for Afternoon Tea. Really friendly and helpful staff. I liked the sound of the Savory Tea selection and wasn't disappointed! My wife and I have visited many establishments that offer Afternoon tea this year, and I rank this as one of the better ones, We look forward to a re-visit soon.

A lovely place to visit, the sandwich's, panini's and cakes were very good, staff are friendly and welcoming, the grounds are beautiful to walk in with a river along the way, in the distance a cricket ground.

We had an afternoon tea and it was superb and the staff were very good. However, the one downside is there is no wheelchair access so one of our party was unable to attend although they did supply a takeaway afternoon tea for me to take home which he thoroughly enjoyed. It was such a shame he couldn't enjoy the experience at The Orangery.

Food was very nice and in a lovely setting, however, the staff continually reminded us that normally you can only have a table for one and half hours and how lucky we were today to have it from lunch time until tea time!

Terrific! The food was very tasty and very reasonably priced. Picturesque location on an old English estate. Off the beaten track but well worth the search!

Had a very tasty savoury afternoon tea which was pre booked. Staff friendly and attentive and provided a well laid out platter of baked camembert, cheese scones, sausage rolls, goats cheese tarts, peppers, hummus, sour cream dip and chilli jam with breads and crackers. There was a taster of chocolate brownie and vanilla cake to finish. Choice of drinks available and two were included in the price per person. Very nice location with river views. Would definitely return.
