Staff friendly can't do enough for you! Food brilliant and accommodation- totally recommend this lovely pub - well done to the owners. Would definitely return - tempura prawns a must!
Having spent the day at Hever Castle & needing an evening meal we ventured to The Greyhound Inn & ordered the lamb and the roast pork belly Sunday roasts. Both were absolutely lovely & very reasonably priced. Would definitely eat here again.
Dropped in for a quick pub lunch, particularly overwhelmed with the pub and the atmosphere. Ian was especially excellent and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Food and drink was faultless, definitely be making it a regular!
Thank God they're back open! Good beer and wine selection, great food and a superbly warm and friendly welcome! Rooms are spacious, light and comfortable. Get down there and say hi to Steve and Caroline!

Fantastic food and service to match.... another fab evening!
Went for my second Sunday lunch since it’s reopened and I just live it. The service is fantastic, the food delicious and I just really love eating here. 👍
Fabulous place. Will definitely be going back.
From the moment we turned up to the moment we left we were treat so very well. Impeccable service and delicious food!
We'll definitely be returning!!
Had a relaxing time. Only stayed one night but would definitely go again. Breakfast had a good selection and nicely done. Was rainy weather but plenty of seating in very comfortable rooms.
Great Service, very friendly and welcoming owners.
Restaurant excellent, food great 👍
Clean well equipped rooms.
Definitely recommend
Very friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was well cooked. Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic stay at the greyhound inn Hever. The rooms were fabulous the food was out of this world the best sea bass i have ever had and the service lovely they were so helpful and polite.
We only had dinner here but it was excellent. Cozy, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, great food and drinks.
We had a wedding yesterday at Kingdom, so booked up the Greyhound for one night & so pleased we did. We could not fault a thing. The inn is super quaint and cute. The lady checking in / serving us was amazing and so welcoming. The room was one of the best pub rooms we’ve been in. Great size, super comfy bed (this was very important being 8 months pregnant), super clean/modern bathroom and an amazing balcony with garden views. I hope we can find another reason to come back again.
Thank you!
We had a lovely evening here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was fabulous. We had the steak and the pork belly - both well presented and gorgeous followed by sticky toffee pudding. Had not had such a perfect gastro-pub meal in ages. The atmosphere was also cozy and classy. Thank you!
Haven't been here for a while, but the meal was as good as we remember.
Lovely crisp, hot tempura prawns, and a really tasty cheese sauce on the vegetable pancake. My husband had a great mackerel pate, and one of his favourites, steak and kidney pudding, even on a very hot day!
Very friendly efficient service in comfortable surroundings. Impressive white linen tablecloths, add a touch of class
Quite expensive, but where isn't these days?
We mustn't leave it so long next time
Amazing food and great vegetarian choices ! My savoury pancake with roasted vegetables was absolutely delicious and my cheese omelette the following morning, probably the best I've ever had ! Combined with the relaxed atmosphere and excellent service, it really was a lovely experience and I just wish I lived closer. Thank you 😊
Excellent food, clean and comfortable accommodation, very pleasant and helpful staff with nothing too much trouble. Would not hesitate to stay again and recommend to others. Would give more than 5 stars if that were an option.
The food and service was perfect. We were a party of 6 with some dietary requirements and our hostess suggested some nice alternatives to the dishes on the menu for those with dairy free requirements. The smoked haddock was delicious. No children's menu but the starters worked as a good alternative.
Had a great stay at the Greyhound in Hever. Lovely rooms with great breakfast. Dinner was fantastic and the couple that run it are so friendly- nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend and hope tonstay there again next time we are in the area
Looked lovely and our first visit, after previous attempts, were thwarted, went well. The Greyhound is now a hotel/B&B in premises that were formerly a pub. The bar keeper told us they now focus on the accommodation side of things and that is borne out by the, slightly, unwelcoming sign on the front door discouraging families with young children, dog owners and walkers. There, I've put the only black mark into play.
Now, to the good things. Although our visit there was unplanned we were welcomed despite it being close to bar closing time. Do check weekday hours as this is our second visit and on both occasions we turned up close to 15:00 when either the bar shuts or the kitchen shuts or both. The menu looked good as it wasn't simply what I describe as standard gastropods fare. The dining room and, in fact, the entire pub was very smart which might be why the aren't overkeen on muddy boots and rowdy children.
Service was friendly, attentive and informed so a proper visit is in order from us. Another plus point is that just as they were about to close 2 cyclists turned up and were very courteously told that the kitchen was closed and the bar was closing/closed but the bar person was helpful in suggesting alternatives so that is a great thing on their favour.
Next time we'll turn up in good time to eat and take a look at rooms and other facilities.
It is always a lovely evening at the Greyhound. Caroline and Steve have been running the pub for years and are always welcoming and friendly. The food, as always, was interesting and delicious, there is nothing worse for me than going to eat out and thinking I can cook better at home, that has never happened here and that' is one of the reasons for coming back. Another reason was until recently my father in law lived close by so the 'commute' was easy :)
I know the accommodation is very popular as it is so close to Hever Castle and the local countryside, so it's a beautiful base as a holiday.
Thanks as always and see you again soon.
Rooms were lovely and they did a very nice cooked breakfast. Very accessible from London as Hever train station is a short walk away. Also easy to get to Hever Castle.
Stayed there for a couple of days. Atmosphere was great. Food and drink perfect. Friendly people and staff running the hotel. Ideal for Hever castle with a country walk starting next to the pub.
Lovely meal 22 Sept 22 we had halloumi and tempura prawns to start. 8 or 9 £
Belly of pork for main 19£
White choc roulade berries and apple tartlet. 8£ dessert.
Waiter was welcoming.
Soft light setting.
Ate Sunday lunch there yesterday with two ‘adult “ members of my family and we were all very happy with everything. The pub itself was spotlessly clean and very up to date in decor. The welcome we were given by all the staff we met was very warm and as for the actual meal itself - superb! We all chose one of the roast options and couldn’t fault anything. I’ll definitely be going again and recommending it to all my friends.Well worth the drive out from Tunbridge Wells.
