Nice atmosphere with the roaring fire and lovely staff. Belly pork was amazing and my eton mess was so tasty. Defo be back and would certainly recommend.
Visited today. Friendly helpful staff, talented chef, great food. Managed to squeeze us in for Christmas day lunch. Happy days.

Last minute booking, didn't think we would get in, but did & was very nice, I had trio of fish which was delicious, other meals, see bream with asparagus, & mixed grill all very good, hot & tasty. Service very good too, we will be back.

Love this place, I always have the smoked taster board for main, with half pint of prawns for starter. Me and my partner actually got the smoked board for 2, there was so much much food. Very well priced for the quality you get. We always drop in when we are near, can’t wait til next time. We couldn’t finish all the smoked meats, so the lovely lady got us 2 takeout containers so will be eating it today 😀 staff are very friendly and welcoming. Was very busy but you would expect that on a Friday when you serve outstanding food. But regardless of how busy they were we still had our food in good time. I would of waited how ever long to have that taster board😀 hats off to the chefs on cooking such good food 👍

Gorgeous burgers. I had the gluten free The smokestack blue burger. It filling but just so nice. If only I knew where they got the buns from??? 😆.

I went to The Fox for lunch today and from start to finish it was a great experience!
Food - I went for a lamb roast and everything was great, the meat was moist, the veg just had a bite, the yorkie was crispy and the cauliflower cheese was good and cheesy. The roast potatoes were a little light for my taste but each to their own. They offer a range of foods beyond a roast, I've had their steaks before and they were brilliant.
Service - The staff are great! I booked a table in advance but when I got there it was in the raised seating area (bright and full of larger tables) I asked if it was possible to move to a quieter table and they moved things around. They were super nice about it despite it being busy. Food came out in well under 10 minutes which, given the quality of the food, I found very impressive.
Atmosphere - The Fox is a pub of two halves, the lower section of the pub which wraps around the bar is warm, cozy and inviting, there are two fire places, one lite (book well in advance for a table) and one as photoed. The seating in this section is comfortable and embracing, perfect for a date or lunch/dinner with a small group. The other section is a raised seating area which is lighter and airier. It's a lot less cozy but is well suited for larger groups or louder gatherings (sounds carry a lot up there but muffles quickly as you move from the area)
It's a lovely pub and well worth a visit.

A fantastic atmosphere here at the Fox.
The waiting staff were friendly.
Now down to the food!
We went for a Pizza with pulled pork, which was deliciously crispy and soft. The flavours were great!and I highly recommend a pizza!
Now for the main event, the BBQ smoking board!
The chicken thighs were great, a nice smokiness to them, with the BBQ sweetness expected!
The Beef ribs were well seasoned, and absolutely tender! One of the beef ribs was slightly over cooked but the taste was fantastic.
The pork ribs had a great flavour, and we're extremely tender! I wonder if these were cooked in a slow cooker rather than a smoker?
The chilli was a standard tasty chilli, as for the coleslaw.
The corn was a disaster, my assumption was that it was boiled within an inch of its life, and then slapped on a grill to have some grill marks on them. This is especially a shame as something as simple as corn could let a meal down!
You have excellent meats cooked well this would be a 10/10 if there is an adjustment for some of the basic areas!
In all a fantastic meal, at a fantastic location thank you and we will return to try the corn again!

We arrived at 5.45ish without a booking but were squeezed in and still able to enjoy 2 courses. The portions were very large and the food tasted great. Service was really friendly too.
First time visiting here and will definitely go back, food was so good, highly recommend the Turkish skewers. Reasonably priced for the amount of you get, good range of alcohol and friendly staff. Didn't have to wait long for food or drinks either
This was our second visit. It's best to book a table. The staff were cheerful and the food was amazing, you will not leave hungry!
The menu had a great selection and the portions are huge.
Delicious food, very decent portions (this mac and cheese was off the smaller lunch menu) and loved the open fire!
It's good, it's nice. The staff seem nice. The toilets have a mirror and a step and the beer garden is nice with comfy sofas right by the back doors there's also a kids playground so it's the perfect place for all the family, even Grandma! I can hear the main road but I think it adds to the charm!!
Just back from a lovely meal with our friends. The food was fantastic, bourbon chicken wow, creme brulle to die for. The steak was cooked to perfection, just brilliant and we'll definitely be back. Thank you to the staff.

We visited the Fox for Sunday lunch, I will be honest, I had high hopes from the website.
The reality was a pleasant country pub, we chose the sunday roast, 2 Turkey and one Beef, the Turkey was good the beef overcooked, the roast potatoes were great, not often the case in a pub! The Yorkshire pudding looked impressive but was a little burnt.
The puzzle was the cubed beetroot, on a roast?
The staff were friendly but lost interest once they had served dessert, we had to ask for coffee.
In conclusion, it was a nice pub with reasonable food and friendly staff, the gardens looked amazing, it was ok and we will return to try the steak and burgers which looked fab.
After driving past a few times and wanting to try this place out I was surprised this evening with a birthday meal here! This place is 10/10 for not only the amazing food but the service too! The atmosphere was lovely and cosy, the seating so comfortable and overall it was an absolute fantastic experience!!
We had an excellent meal, just my partner & I. Food we couldn't fault but was about 10 days b4 Christmas & was a much time. Two groups/ work parties & we found it a bit rowdy. We just wanted a quiet romantic meal & didn't expect this. We didn't complain but wish we had been offered a table in the bar when they knew they had to parties in at the same time! Not everyone likes rowdy atmosphere to dine in! They were large tables, one at opposite sides of our table! X
Staff were all very polite and helpful, the food was very good and portion size was good too. We thoroughly enjoy a meal out there to celebrate a 30th birthday. The children's menu had a good selection and portions were also good sizes. Thank you.
Grest pub, lovley pint of gamma ray and the sharing platter of meat was awesome!
Great food, excellent value and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The smoked platter was one of the best meals I've had in ages.
