The food was absolutely amazing, I think the best Sunday lunch I've ever had! Succulent beef, cooked to perfection. The vegetables were crunchy, but not raw and the roast potatoes were delicious. The service was quite slow, bearing in mind not many customers, so that let them down slightly.

It was late on the Sunday so it was very quiet. Food was nice and service was warm and friendly. It wasn't a pub I would have thought to head to for dinner but it's clearly had a complete refurb and definitely worth a visit if in Hexham and looking for low key food and a drink.
Beautiful part of the world and is well worth the, sometimes, difficult drive. Great places to see, walk, eat, and drink. Sycamore Gap is breathtaking, but it is a little bit of a walk and could be dangerous, so make sure you have the right footwear and clothing. There is a dedicated pay and display
