Lovely traditional pub offers a warm welcome, friendly locals and proper homemade food. Their are fires to keep you cozy in winter and a pub garden for summer, good for all seasons! I had the steak pie, fruit crumble and a couple glasses of wine 👌🏼 We had a little walk around the pub and saw deer in a field. There is a nice little river walk too. Tip Dog friendly They have a website where you can check the daily menu It’s worth reserve a table, especially when they have themed nights such as quiz and curry.

What a lovely little find! Excellent food and some great beers we'd not come across previously that are brewed on site. Looking forward already to our next visit!

An pub that brews its own ale, in possibly the most picturesque setting. Nice selection of beers, nice friendly staff, stunning beer garden. A little off the beaten track, but well worth a visit.

Smashing little pub in the middle of nowhere! Very atmospheric with excellent local ale brewed on site and fantastic food. Highly recommended if in the area. Visited a year later and the food was still as good with good sized portions. Superb selection of real ales.

First visit in 30 years, just as I remember it. Beer brewed on site. Home cooked pub grub. Two fires. Proper country pub.

We were on an afternoon walk out from Hexham and arrived a bit early, decided to wait for doors opening at 6.00 and very glad we did. We decided to eat and had a very tasty meal, plus Dipton's own beer brewed behind the pub. Excellent.

Middle of nowhere, but worth the effort. Quiet quaint pub with friendly staff. Visited Sunday for a pit stop drink. Be sure to check opening times as country hours apply

This pub has certainly made changes. This is more like a traditional pub, with great decor. Better disabled access now. The landlord and staff are great, friendly and cheery. Food was great, and certainly not expensive. Great place.

Fantastic pub, fantastic food very friendly atmosphere. Just how a pub should be run. The only downside is finding a similar place to stay nearby (within staggering distance) 😀

I was so relieved to find the Inn open and serving lunch. This is a fantastic oasis in an area where I didn't see many people. The in house beer was excellent and the lunch was great! I floated home after!

Attractive friendly pub with a beer garden next to the river. 3 veggie choices at mains which is great but they are always the same options. I saw a steak pie going by. Veggies love pies top. How about cheese and onion pie ? Reasonable prices. Lovely location.

Wonderful home cooked food in the surroundings of a traditional pub. The chicken in creamy sherry sauce was lovely and moist, with a good selection of vegetables. The bar is still the same after renovations, but the extra tabling created beyond will give much needed extra space for more customers. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Lovely, little pub in the countryside, just outside Hexham. Nice walks nearby. We visited for a drink a week ago, first time in 2 years due to the pandemic, and we were so happy to be back! Great real ale. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend!
