Came here for afternoon tea to celebrate my sister's big birthday. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Nice selection of sandwiches I'm not a fan of mayonnaise the ham and mustard were super tasty proper thick ham. Scones were warm with plenty of clotted cream and jam, the other sweet treats were delicious. Amazing selection of teas. We were very well looked after. Everything was beautifully presented even the children had their own cakes stands. Would highly recommend a visit the grounds were beautiful.
Mulberry House was our choice of venue for our wedding in August this year.
With preparations starting twelve months in advance of our special day, the attention to details and interest to understand our needs were always first class, nothing was too much trouble from the wedding planners and their support team members.
The day was wonderful and ran without hitch, again greatly due to the Mulberry support team.
The outdoor ceremony, the marquee, the food, the guests rooms, in fact, all the services provided were fantastic, we couldn’t fault any of them.
As you tell from this review, my wife and I would throughly recommend this venue and their team members.
We visited Mulberry House to take part in a murder mystery evening. The whole evening was great fun from start to finish.
The staff were extremely friendly and the event was well organised.
I have specific dietary requirements and although it was a set menu I was very well catered for.
We would definitely return in the future maybe to try afternoon tea.

As a wedding photographer, I shoot at a lot of venues and so I can safely say that Mulberry House is an excellent wedding venue.

My wife and I were invited to a wedding at Mulberry House and had an amazing time. The venue is absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds and a stunning Georgian manor house. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, and they went above and beyond to make the day perfect for the couple. The food was delicious, and the drinks flowed freely. We would highly recommend Mulberry House to anyone looking for a special place to celebrate a special occasion.

Mulberry House and its wonderful team was simply the most perfect venue for our wedding in May. We had a specific vision of an English outdoor afternoon tea wedding - which we were told was the first time its been done (understandably anything outdoors with English weather is always a risk) - and we were absolutely delighted that it came together exactly as imagined!
We are so grateful to the team and especially Louise and Chloe (planner) in the run up to the wedding and Claire (on the day coordinator) for flawlessly executing our vision on the wedding day. From initial communications to the night before to the morning after the wedding, our wedding experience was absolutely perfect. The service, staff and grounds were truly impeccable and we were really able to sit back, relax and enjoy the celebration with our friends and family. The team at Mulberry House made wedding planning a breeze and we are grateful that they were so accommodating with our wedding vision. We highly recommend Mulberry House for anyone looking for a beautiful venue, with excellent wedding planning support and guidance along the way. Mulberry House is a fantastic wedding venue set in the heart of the Essex countryside. As a wedding photographer and videographer, I really appreciate the fantastic facilities and high level of service provided by the staff for their brides and grooms to host their weddings. It's a wonderful location with a beautiful ornamental lake, complete with idyllic bridge, a cute stock of wild fowl like geese and ducks, and even Alpaca neighbours! The house is beautifully kept, with a couple of spacious rooms for preparation, a lovely bridal suite, gardens, air conditioned ceremony room (or on the lawn at the beautiful gazebo). A large marquee for your wedding breakfast and plenty of rooms for your guests to stay. The venue has ample opportunities for entertaining. The food is top quality and for a wedding couple, you couldn't ask for more. Visit Mulberry House, take in the history and then just book it. You won't be disappointed!
It was my daughters wedding on Friday 20th and the staff just couldn’t do enough for us. The service, food quality and overall attention to detail from every member of staff (from the second we arrived to the moment we left) was absolutely exceptional. Your staff are a credit to your hotel 👏

Absolutely fantastic team and can certainly see why awards have been won! Clair and Jo were brilliant. Lots of our guests have commented on how it’s the best wedding venue they have ever been to! Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back for an overnight stay in the tresco suite!
