Air Raid Shelter Cafe And Tea Room - High Wycombe - Photo album

The most homely, cosy and atmospheric afternoon tea I've ever had (and I go to afternoon tea a lot)! I highly recommend this adorable local business. I've visited three times now with friends, family and my partner. We will all be returning. Generous portions, authentic homemade feel and delicious!
If visiting Wycombe, this themed cafe is definitely somewhere that everyone needs to experience at least once. The air raid shelter is an incredibly kitch take on the glory days of World War Two. Marvel at the strange paraphernalia of an incredibly dark era of Britain in the forties that British peo
Adorable, atmospheric nook for lunch and coffee. WWII Era memorabilia, late 1930-early 40s radio music played at a freindly level without intefering in casual table conversation. There is even a 1936 Morris model car next to my table. LOL. At first glance it appears like there is only a couple.of ta
We ordered 2 all day breakfasts.Excellent quick service. The food was lovely and so was the atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Now this place is a real gem! I cannot believe I only found it now! I just love the decor. It definitely transports you back in time! Staff are so nice and so helpful. We tried cream teas and they are definitely one of the best ones I have ever eaten. So fresh, so delicious, just right. Prices are g
Visited for a hot drink and cake. The cake was very reasonably priced in comparison to many other cafes in the area. £2.60 for a decent sized slice of Victoria sponge. The cafe itself is likely stepping back in time to the 1940s. It is packed with lots of historic pieces from days gone by. There is
This place is quirky, original & educational. With pictures from WW2 & other WW2 related images unique to the town of High Wycombe adorning the walls, along with reprints of newspapers of that era too, this cafe is as much a history lesson (an enjoyable one) as it is somewhere to eat & drink. But th
Fantastic little cafe with amazing memorabilia and lovely music. Beautiful freshly cooked food, large portions and good prices. Excellent service - staff very friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic, Homely, Afternoon Tea experience, affordable, friendly and very appropriate to the 1940's WW2 theme. I would recommend anyone to visit and will continue to come back!!
This has to be the best cafe experience ever..if you like nostalgia then this is the place for you.The food is very good and so are the prices and the staff are friendly and helpful
A hidden gem in High Wycombe's city centre, unique cafe which welcomes You with 1940's vibe and tasty food. Highly recommended as You do not have many places like this around.
Great Atmosphere, brilliant food, brilliant customer service too 100% will recommend
Amazing little cafe with really friendly staff and great food and coffee. The decor makes it special but its the service and food/drinks that makes you want to stay. We had the all day breakfast fry up and (except that my egg was a bit overcooked) everything was delicious. It's really cozy there, th
Great food and coffee. Much to learn from museum and see. Definitely a place to go
Very quirky and different, such a surprise to find this in the near-abandoned chilterns shopping centre. You can sit in an air raid shelter, train cabin or a 40s themed front room. Coffee and cake were delicious.
What a fantastic place - be transported back to the 1940s. Food and service lovely. Will be back!
I had a cream tea which was presented beautifully and the scone was still warm. Very happy with the service and the quirky seating areas.
Was an instant hit with the family. If you don't eat the chips you will be missing out on the best you'll ever have
