The most homely, cosy and atmospheric afternoon tea I've ever had (and I go to afternoon tea a lot)! I highly recommend this adorable local business. I've visited three times now with friends, family and my partner. We will all be returning. Generous portions, authentic homemade feel and delicious! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, including Chris the owner. Such a special place. I love it here!

If visiting Wycombe, this themed cafe is definitely somewhere that everyone needs to experience at least once. The air raid shelter is an incredibly kitch take on the glory days of World War Two. Marvel at the strange paraphernalia of an incredibly dark era of Britain in the forties that British people continue to celebrate. There aren’t that many places to sit due to all the historic artefacts everywhere including a car and a train carriage. However, great service and lovely food.

Adorable, atmospheric nook for lunch and coffee. WWII Era memorabilia, late 1930-early 40s radio music played at a freindly level without intefering in casual table conversation. There is even a 1936 Morris model car next to my table. LOL. At first glance it appears like there is only a couple.of tables but don't be shy, there are plenty spots to sit and dine, you just have to go in to discover there much more in this little gem. We both got toasties: a cheese, ham, and tomatoe; she had a cheese and onion with a latte. Excellent tasty nibbles and filling. I overheard my company hum in delight a few times over her latte, so that must have been good. Staff was quite friendly and prompt. So, if you're in the mall and need a quick bite to eat, this stop will hit the spot.

Now this place is a real gem! I cannot believe I only found it now! I just love the decor. It definitely transports you back in time! Staff are so nice and so helpful. We tried cream teas and they are definitely one of the best ones I have ever eaten. So fresh, so delicious, just right. Prices are good. You have a choice of different savoury meals, including English breakfast, as well. Highly recommend!

Visited for a hot drink and cake. The cake was very reasonably priced in comparison to many other cafes in the area. £2.60 for a decent sized slice of Victoria sponge. The cafe itself is likely stepping back in time to the 1940s. It is packed with lots of historic pieces from days gone by. There is a realistic home setting with a kitchen, living room and even an air raid shelter, all of which you can sit in to eat. There is a lot of information particularly about local history in High Wycombe. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is quirky, original & educational. With pictures from WW2 & other WW2 related images unique to the town of High Wycombe adorning the walls, along with reprints of newspapers of that era too, this cafe is as much a history lesson (an enjoyable one) as it is somewhere to eat & drink. But that's just a fraction of what's on offer. There's a replica Air Raid shelter & train carraige inside, along with a seating area which pays homage to how people's front rooms were back in the 1940's. It even has a piano. Though I'm not sure if any customers have ever played some old wartime songs on it. The menu is also just as quirky & the value for money is just incredible - just like the service. The Air Raid Cafe is now a firm favourite with my family & a trip to High Wycombe now, isn't complete without a visit.

Amazing little cafe with really friendly staff and great food and coffee. The decor makes it special but its the service and food/drinks that makes you want to stay. We had the all day breakfast fry up and (except that my egg was a bit overcooked) everything was delicious. It's really cozy there, there's some board games lying around too which entertains you until the food comes, and the prices are good. They also put 1940s and 1950s music to add to the atmosphere. But the music is never too loud. We are definitely going to be there more often and we will bring people with us to experience it!

Very quirky and different, such a surprise to find this in the near-abandoned chilterns shopping centre. You can sit in an air raid shelter, train cabin or a 40s themed front room. Coffee and cake were delicious.
