Back tonight for a meal, Wow definitely impressed first time in two yrs, Service excellent, food choice substantial, good quality food with generous portions , add on's or different combination no trouble( I'm fussy) Landlord and Landlady came out to check everything was ok (nice touch) Lovely locat

I had been on a long walk on the Chilterns with a group of friends. We were all a little hungry. Found this place by chance and what a little gem . The food was delicious and a good portion. The price was reasonable too. Would definitely recommend making a stop here.
We had a fabulous Sunday carvery lunch here today. The food was homemade and amazing and the people are lovely. I'd definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

A proper pub, traditional pub food done brilliantly. It's really refreshing to see proper pub dishes without irony or gastro-twists, good ingredients, cooked well with decent beer on tap. Just excellent.
Very good, attentive lady (Kayleigh) at the bar, with a good sense of humour. Super inside and nice place to sit outside too. Definitely going back several times this year with family and friends. I hear the food's very good too. Going to check it out soon.

New owners are making this a really lovely rural local pub again. One to try. I didn't eat here but the menu looks good and is pub fodder rather than the hoity toity stuff.
Wonderful food, staff very friendly. Varied menu. A good old fashioned pub were everyone enjoys fun. Locals or visitors all welcome.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure my friend and I were catered for, despite the kitchen not strictly being open at that time. Food was delightful too.
