My local even tho I don't live that close 😃, have amazing locals and good banter especially on Monday Night Spoof. Landlady is a good sport and is often hosting different events (check out the board game night coming soon)

Meal today was lovely. Steak just right and my first time sampling of swordfish went down very well. Good service with just the right amount of attentiveness. made to feel welcome.

Back tonight for a meal, Wow definitely impressed first time in two yrs, Service excellent, food choice substantial, good quality food with generous portions , add on's or different combination no trouble( I'm fussy) Landlord and Landlady came out to check everything was ok (nice touch) Lovely location great for a dog walk/meal or just a quick pint.

I had been on a long walk on the Chilterns with a group of friends. We were all a little hungry. Found this place by chance and what a little gem . The food was delicious and a good portion. The price was reasonable too. Would definitely recommend making a stop here.

We had a fabulous Sunday carvery lunch here today. The food was homemade and amazing and the people are lovely. I'd definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

Absolutely fabulous place! Beautiful setting and a fantastic pub! Food was amazing, very tasty indeed! Our group had Garlic bread and Soup of the Day to start which was mouth wateringly good followed by roast chicken, roast beef, roast lamb and scampi (not all on the same plate obviously!) and everything that came out of the kitchen was amazing! Not an empty plate left! Piping hot and delicious! Puddings were fab too, really can't think of enough positive words! The landlord Mark was warm and friendly, table service fabulous and bar staff super great too! If ever in the area will definitely be returning! Go, it's most definitely worth a visit! Thank you for making Mother's Day so great! Would give more stars if I could! 😁😁😁😁

A proper pub, traditional pub food done brilliantly. It's really refreshing to see proper pub dishes without irony or gastro-twists, good ingredients, cooked well with decent beer on tap. Just excellent.

Very good, attentive lady (Kayleigh) at the bar, with a good sense of humour. Super inside and nice place to sit outside too. Definitely going back several times this year with family and friends. I hear the food's very good too. Going to check it out soon.

Visited this pub a couple of times which has been tastefully refurbished recently by the new owners. Friendly and welcoming with good service and very good food. Open log fire in the bar, bright spacious restaurant at the back which leads out into a small garden which in the summer is a real sun trap. Dog friendly. Well worth a visit.

Cracking pub; really nice pint of London Pride in here, and the food is fantastic. It’s much more than tasty and well-priced ‘pub grub’, but also a couple of notches below gastro, which is far from a criticism, I have to say! We locals don’t want mousse and other poncey add-ons; just tasty food, well-kept beer, a great atmosphere, and keen pricing.

New owners are making this a really lovely rural local pub again. One to try. I didn't eat here but the menu looks good and is pub fodder rather than the hoity toity stuff.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure my friend and I were catered for, despite the kitchen not strictly being open at that time. Food was delightful too.
