Sometimes the fish can be a bit dry and very hard to eat, this was one of those times sadly. The chips were good and plenty of them.
Went on a week day, had very fast service and good food. The staff are friendly and the portion sizes are huge!
Great fish and chip shop, friendly people and good food. Also, remember that even the small fries is enough to feed a small family!

Based upon all the write-ups I did queue and really was looking forward to trying Smarts Fish and Chips. I would say the chips were 3 * and the fish was really tasty 4*+. However, the first time I turned up I forgot it was Cash Only so had to go to another shop and have to say the other shop's chips were better and the fish just as good (perhaps a one-off?)
Top notch fish and chips. Very good quality (no greasy batter here) and portions are huge. Highly recommended.

Really lovely fish & chips, incredibly large portions, we ordered two large fish & chips and it would have easily fed 4 people! Lovely staff very friendly, I would highly recommend.
