I had to spend a night in Etwall last minute and I booked the hotel online. It is a very cozy place and the night out turned out to become a short holiday. I will come back for sure for a longer time. A very great place... Ah and they serve a great traditional English breakfast!
Haven't stayed here, but have had quite a few 'takeaways' (Afternoon Teas, Sunday Roasts, NYE Meals) during Lockdown / Restrictions. EXCELLENT

Apart from the hotel only receiving half our booking from hotels.com which, fortunately was quickly sorted out, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean & comfortable with COVID precautions in place. The staff were friendly & helpful.
Room was in an annex to the main building. Despite being the warm outside the room was cold and needed the electric heater on. No central heating in this part of the building. When I checked in the lady was friendly, the room was very basic, the bathroom was dated and there was no stand up shower you had to stand in a bath and use a flexible shower attachment that you could regulate the temperature either stone cold or scolding. Hotel is top quality, rooms a good standard, I had washbasin in room Bathroom rather small. Bed was comfy.All staff very friendly especially Donna. Food first class, both breakfast and evening meal, good selection of drinks too.Will stay again when on business in the area.
