We enjoyed an amazing lunch with fresh delicious ingredients all served up by friendly, professional staff. The cafe is very welcoming with a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Well done to the owners for transforming the place into a lovely place to visit...and the best scones and gluten free lemon drizzle cake in Leicestershire!
Wow what a choice in homemade food . I had the quiche it came with a beautiful salad and cous cous . Staff were very helpful polite. Then had cake which was to die for . Again home made a good choice for gluten free too
Fantastic place to grab some yummy food and drinks. Really Friendly, welcoming team that run this as well. Very family and dog friendly. Would recommend to anyone
Most fantastic little coffee shop, so warm and welcoming with the most caring staff, great with kids and some of the yummiest cake ever! 5 stars doesn't give this place enough credit
Acorns is a great little coffee shop, the staff are friendly and polite and are always happy to help. Orders are always taken promptly, even on a hectic Bank Holiday weekend, some of the staff are new so a little bit slower, and sometimes need to be shown things or corrected but this is normal for any business, so people scoring the premises down for this are being a bit silly.
Prices are very competitive considering all the cakes and food are all prepared onsite with fresh local ingredients. Like the saying goes ‘you get what you pay for’ and I would rather pay a little bit extra to get quality tasty food.
My only criticism, and this is a council issue and not one of Acorns, is the place could be made a little bigger to allow for a bigger seating area inside and an expansion of the toilet facilities.
My first visit to Acorns coffee shop was lovely. A great environment, amazing food, drinks and cakes! And dogs are allowed in too! The perfect place to visit after a walk
Amazing homemade food. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. I will definitely eat here again.

I love Acorns coffee shop. It's been a breath of fresh air over the last year or so, since the new friendly owners Adam & Helen took it on - and have put so much effort into it.
I'm SO pleased that I can grab myself a great cup of coffee - made the way I like it - any day of the week I'm around the woods, and if I want to indulge in a bacon cob there's none better to be found locally (and again, made the way I like it - great personalised service!)
Wonderful that I can 'dock' the dogs outside, or in the foyer, and even in the depths of winter can walk in with muddy wellies and soaked to the skin - and still get a smile :)
Keep it up guys, and keep it open - I've never seen the common so well used, particularly with the play area now, and you provide a much needed service.
Sure, occasionally there's an odd hiccup, everyone gets those, but it's the way they're sorted out that counts and everyone understands that new staff need training.
Good value too; no one to my knowledge ever regretted paying for quality! J.
Brilliant cafe for snacks, coffee or lunch! I had a soya Latte and gluten free cake which were lovely. Cakes all homemade lovely family run cafe!
A friendly cafe which serves delicious food. We got to try an assortment of sandwiches and hot drinks when a few of us sang there last Saturday to raise money for Loros. Very welcome they were too. Thank you Acorns café x
Amazing cakes, fantastic sandwiches, friendly helpful staff, great location and dog friendly.
What's not to like?

Just had a lovely walk around the Common with my friend and my dogs and finished if off with a luxurious cappuccino and a fresh warm cheese scone with butter. This little coffee shop is a gem and the staff are friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be returning. Perfect Easter Monday morning.
Excellent little cafe on the site of the Burbage Common and Woods, it’s open during spring and summer and has a good selection of hot and cold drinks and food. It’s not the cheapest but it’s a great location to stop for a bite to eat if you are visiting the Common and the cakes look really nice. There is loads of free parking spaces on site and wheelchair accessible parking and entrance. The cafe also had two toilets, highly recommend on a nice sunny day.
Wow! Great welcome, for us and the dog, lovely staff, nice facilities and great food. It had been a while since we had been to Burbage Common and used to have a coffee in the cafe but not much else. We walked the dogs and called in for a spot of brunch not expecting much more than an old style cafe. What a lovely place it has become. The place was cosy and welcoming. We were given a towel for our wet dog which she then lay on while we eat. The full English breakfast was plentiful, well presented and cooked beautifully. Coffee was also top notch. We will be back and will make sure it becomes a more regular part of our walking calendar. Thanks all.
I have stopped here before for a drink, but never food.
ts my second visit after discovering the food it 2 weeks ago!
Food freshly prepared. Virtually all cakes home made.
Dogs very welcome. Can site inside or out.
All staff very friendly and helpful with information re food. Service very quick.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Bank holiday rush of visitors didn't phase them. One lady I particular went out of their way to be helpful to me and my disabled wife. Very good service.

A lovely cafe serving fresh coffee and homemade cakes. Perfect for after a walk. Very dog friendly with under cover outdoor seating area.
Dog friendly on the edge of the park, very busy but still enough seating for us. Food was good quality with plenty of variety and arrived fairly quickly. Would go again.
Visited acorn cafe today 20/10/2023. Excellent service, excellent food, staff Anna and Ellen went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cater to our needs. Highly recommended
We always stop for a coffee at Acorns. It's nice to have a sit down after a long dog walk around Burbage Common. There is usually a great selection of cakes, including dietary requirement like, Gluten free and Vegan.
The service is always friendly even when busy.
Really good spot for coffee and cake! Brought my whole family here on a sunny weekend and absolutely loved it.
Countryside views were fantastic, all the dogs were well behaved and my children loved the park. I will be making more trips here.
Food was lovely! Amazing cakes! Nice to sit inside and have lunch, staff were friendly. Great play ground outside for kids
