Relaxing and comfortable hotel with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel. Unlike major chain hotels that keep cutting corners and increasing prices this was a lovely find. Nice generous bath and bed and fresh air. Fantastic location for a National Trust property. Friendly helpful staff.
Ok so the rooms are a bit tired, they are clean, comfortable and for the price great value. The food was good, staff just great. All in, a great place for a nights stop over.
An older hotel with reasonably well maintained rooms. I only had breakfast but the choices were good. The service was really good and the staff were helpful. Special thanks to Peter from Dubrovnik. The location is great for walking or cycling through the countryside. There are a lot of walkable t
Stayed 2 nights for a local wedding. The front of house staff were fantastic and the food was lovely. The rooms are a little dated but clean and could see that some work has been done to upgrade

Great place to stay if you want to visit the Devil's Punch Bowl, which is literally on the doorstep of this hotel. Also, good location to visit other attractions from. Staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly.
Love staying here. A totally relaxing and great value hotel. Lovely staff and decent food. Since the A3 was rerouted it is so peaceful here. Will definitely be back to this gem. Thanks all
My uncle aunty were working in this hotel N I went to visit them. The place around the hotel Was so peaceful. I never wanted to come back from there.

Food and drink prices were most reasonable and the service swift. The cask ale was tapped for us after 9.30pm midweek, which was much app

We stayed at the weekend, the room needed some tlc but everything we needed was there. All the staff were lovely and friendly. Both the breakfasts and dinner were very nice and enjoyable.
Pretty cool building with lots of history. Slightly dated room but large and very comfortable. Recommend.
