The place was quite so a very relaxed atmosphere.
The service was fantastic and food was delivered quickly.
Dishes were good if not memorable.
£129 for 3 set menus + drinks+ deserts.
Not cheap but enjoyable.

This restaurant was recommended to us and it really did not disappointed us. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious. I had a fishcake with very nice creamy sauce and my partner had the shepherd's pie which he loved. The menue is small which immediately tells you that everything is fresh. What made the food even tastier was the fact that is local, seasonal and sustainable. A restaurant for the perfect date.
Went here with my girlfriend on my birthday. This was the first time we had been here. Really enjoyed our night. The food was delicious, and the service from Michael was exceptional in knowledge of the dishes and friendly.

The waiter was lovely but not overly attentive, as often happens when a restaurant is quiet.

I had the set meal with the King Oyster mushrooms and had a whole plaice with steamed veg for a main. Simple but elegant and BEAUTIFULLY cooked.
My uncle had the pea soup and the chicken legs and steamed veg for a main. He was throughly satisfied.

Best place I've eaten in Hitchin. Food was really tasty tonight, wide selection on the menu, and nice atmosphere. Service a little on the slow side, but was a busy night, so we'll forgive you. Overall, we really enjoyed our evening here.
Saturday night birthday dinner was an absolute hit! Food was tasty, balanced, and perfectly prepared. Service was impeccable. All spot on! Can’t recommend the chocolate mousse enough!

I booked Lussmanns for a family lunch. I was attracted by the menu which features a great mix of veggie, vegan and pescatarian options, as well as meat. The food was great, really fresh and tasty. A main of Whole Cornish sole with Café de Paris butter was so delicious I could eat it every day! We ordered from both the main and the set menus. The set menu is great value for the quality of the produce used. Our waiter Michael was super friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back!
Lussmanns was a lovely culinary experience! My wife and I were in town for just one night and we decided on Lussmanns for dinner. We ordered the fixed 3 course Christmas inspired dinner and all three courses were wonderful! My pork was perfectly cooked and seasoned as was my wife’s steak. The beetroot and goat cheese salad is amazing! I highly recommend the parsnips with a maple glaze, sooooo yummy! The honey thyme pudding was delicious as was the super sweet chocolate mousse. Everything about our dining experience at Lussmanns was worthy of five stars, the food, the service and the ambiance of the restaurant were all wonderful!
We will definitely stop by Lussmanns the next time we are in town!

I’ve always avoided this place as it’s advertised as a fish restaurant, but went with people from work and they arranged a whole vegan meal for me! I had soup to start, paella for mains, and a berry sorbet for dessert! They couldn’t have been more helpful :)
