Absolutely amazing restaurant. Some of the best Indian food I have had. The service was absolutely incredible- so much extra effort was made for us- including hot towels after food, and Ferraro chocolates as a little gift. The door was even opened for us on the way out! OUTSTANDING! Will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend.

Visited after a delightful afternoon at the Hitchin beer festival. Just what was needed. The staff were very accommodating and answered our questions about the extensive menu. We went for the "Paprika special" and a northern Indian hot chilli tikka, the special was chicken stuffed with mince with peppers in a surprising sweeter sauce than I'd usually choose but it was delicious. The hot chicken curry didn't disappoint either. Two rice, two nans, a side of onion Baji and sag pannier finished the meal, all washed down with a kingfisher and a cobra. Both lagers crisp and refreshing after the ale at the beer festival.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Paprika Indian Restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional culinary experience from start to finish. This hidden gem exceeded all my expectations and left me craving for more! Without a doubt, I am delighted to share my five-star review for this remarkable establishment.
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The restaurant's elegant decor, combined with its cozy atmosphere, created the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! Paprika Indian Restaurant boasts an extensive menu that showcases the vibrant and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. Each dish I sampled was a masterpiece in itself, bursting with authentic spices and expertly balanced flavors. The chefs at Paprika truly have a talent for elevating traditional Indian recipes to new heights.
One dish that stole the show was the lamb chops. Tender, succulent pieces of chicken were enveloped in a luscious, velvety tomato-based sauce that had just the right amount of tanginess and creaminess. It was a true delight for my taste buds and left me longing for another bite. The Lamb was another standout, with fragrant basmati rice and perfectly cooked tender lamb, each grain carrying the rich blend of aromatic spices.
The culinary journey continued with their selection of vegetarian dishes. The Paneer Tikka, a marinated cottage cheese delicacy, was grilled to perfection, offering a delightful contrast of textures and flavours , chicken are creamy spinach and cheese curry, was a comforting and flavorsome dish that satisfied both my vegetarian and non-vegetarian companions.
The service at Paprika was impeccable throughout the evening. The attentive and knowledgeable staff guided us through the menu, suggesting pairings and ensuring our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Their passion for the cuisine was evident, and their willingness to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies was truly commendable.
To complement the fantastic food, Paprika also boasts an impressive beverage selection. The Mango Lassi, a refreshing and creamy yogurt-based drink infused with the sweetness of mango, was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine and cocktail list, allowing patrons to find the perfect libation to enhance their dining experience.
In conclusion, Paprika Indian Restaurant is a true culinary gem that deserves every bit of praise. With its outstanding flavors, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, it has raised the bar for Indian cuisine in the area. Whether you are a seasoned lover of Indian food or someone exploring the cuisine for the first time, Paprika promises a journey that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving for more. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit to continue exploring their mouthwatering offerings.
If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Paprika Indian Restaurant is the place to be!

Another great take out from Paprika. Looking forward to getting back to dine in but the delivery service has never let us down. Always arrives hot, fresh and tastes great. I had the Ceylon for the first time and loved it along with some chapatis and the Paprika mixed starter.

This was one of the loveliest Restaurants around the area that fills your tummy and doesnt empty your wallet. You will find the decor to be soft to look at and relaxing. The restaurant was calm temperature with maintainence for hours no issue.
The staff were welcoming and easy to talk to and approachable, may be name badges may help.
The food was flawless, warm and mildly spiced, suited everyone. The food appeared freshly cooked and easy to manage, correct portions, flavour was amazing.
Desserts seemed lacking in supply but understandable after COVID restrictions being lifted. Allowed privacy among the restaurant and relaxing. Toilets seemed standard may needs investing in the quality.
Overall very satisfied and just small things to amend but will be back
Thank you for the food and kindness that was passed to us

I had my eightieth birthday party with twenty two relatives and friends ages ranging from four to seventy and everyone said how wonderful the food and service is. I would.recommend them to everyone several guests who live in Essex said it will be worth travelling all that way to come again. My heartfelt thanks to the staff who went the extra mile the whole evening

Had to leave a review ordered a takeaway it came piping hot fresh and delicious I was impressed by the service. Great selection of tasty fish dishes the only constructive criticism I could give is some curry's are either a bit bland or to chilli hot not much in between

My girls and I have been going to Paprika since it opened. The service is exceptional and the food of a high quality and taste. My dad is disabled and the care they extend to him makes every visit for him priceless. Five stars is not enough to rate them by. I would give 10 out of 10.

Bombay aloo was absolutely smothered in oil, very poor, just tasted of oil. You can get a lot better in Hitchin, especially for the prices that they charge! Very disappointed

WORST SERVICE EVER
We were a party of 12, who went there last week. We gave the order for drinks and starters, drinks came after 10 mins but starters never came. After 30 mins someone came to take the order for main course as starters were taking time. We placed the order for 8 main course dishes, but was told by the waiter that the restaurant had a policy where they have to serve 1 MAIN COURSE DISH PER HEAD and we have to order at least 12 otherwise they can not serve us. When we did not agree to the absurd policy, WE WERE ASKED TO LEAVE. They should mention these nonsense and ridiculous kind of things when reserving a table.
