There are definitely two sides to this place! The front two thirds appears to be primarily for those who want to eat and smells of unappetising food. But if you follow the signs to the ‘bar & garden’ at the back, then it’s a really nice light & airy space, especially as they have removed the groun
Can’t beat the place on drink prices although the food is a bit hit and miss. Good atmosphere if you just want to catch up with family and friends. Definitely be going back there again.

Excellent time spent with friends in this cosy atmosphere, food was really good. We had the chef's special Christmas meal 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (and the toilets were lovely ❤️)
Brilliant place, atmosphere is cosy, very chilled too. The outdoor area is quote large too so there quite a lot to choose from in terms of seating. If you're ever out in Hitchin and fancy a drink or a bit to eat then this is the place to eat.

Three of us had burger 2 x 3oz 1 x 6oz to say they were over cooked is an understatement and chips which were very good, what was mistifing was no garnish so the whole plate was beige. My wife had Scampi and chips which she said was very good.
3hrs later on the way home I had a pizza.
Is great 4 an afternoon. Liked it had a beer garden & the beer is well priced. Will visit it again on a sunny day. Still can't get use 2 queuing so used the app.
Nice little pub where you can sit with a coffee and a bite to eat and watch the world go by. The beer garden is an amazing sun trap and was a nice place to sit while killing time.
This is a good spoons. Lively, packed, worth a visit. Super historical building. Very convenient in the town centre, a great way to make an evening go well.
