This is quite a small bakery with no indoor seating, but I think the quality of their food is much better than Bakers Oven. They make up fresh custom sandwiches on the spot, with a good choice of sandwich fillings which are made up and visible in their display unit. They also make hot breakfast baps. I never have to wait long to be served, but it can be difficult to get in & out when there are more than a few people in the shop. I think they would benefit from having some tables & chairs for customers outside the shop.

Overall the price of the food/drinks at Simmons Bakery is very good. The overall prices of the products are reasonable in regards to portion sizes and quality. I am aware that this specific Bakery is very desirable within the Hitchin area.
Speed of Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
On this particular day the speed of service was fairly average. There was multiple members of staff on shift but the line never seemed to really end. Time between joining the line and walking out the door with my product was around 10-15 mintues. Although I am not sure if this is down to customers ordering huge quantities and awkward products.
Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall quality of my food was extremely good! All the products I purchased were top quality and extremely flavourful. As this is my first experience here I can assure you I will be returning.
Restaraunt Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The overall cleanliness of the bakery was very good. A COVID secure business. However due to the high quantity of customers there was some general mess but I’m sure this would have been amended when it died down.

The outside building and colour scheme for the bakery is extremely aesthetically pleasing. It’s well maintained and suits the rest of the feel and atmosphere within Hitchin town centre.
Lovely little bakery which we always use during our stays in Hitchin. Friendly welcoming staff.
Excellent shop, great service, and great customer service, the staff are lovely, I do recommend this shop to anyone, the food is amazing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Came here straight from Chia after being told where they buy their bread because I didn’t want to leave Hitchin without more of that sourdough. Started eating it in the car. Everything else looked good too.
There's always a fairly long queue here on a Saturday morning so we decided to see what the fuss what about. My mouth is drooling thinking about the sandwich and doughnut that I had. Will definitely be back!
With simmons the brand you know what you are getting. The shop had lovely staff and a pleasant view near by to enjoy our purchases. We'll worth a visit.
Busy at times, along with unruly kids running riot whilst parents sit back and allow this behaviour. Apart from this, good for a quick snack and staff helpful and pleasant.

Amazing freshly baked bread, they also sell vegan loaf cakes (the vegan ginger cake is delicious!)
Simmon's bread is excellent and the ladies running their Hitchin branch are very polite and efficient.
Can't fault staff for there continual smiley and cheerful faces it proves that attitude like that differently pulls in customers 😉
