Unexpected visit. We had been to the Houghton Tower Classic car show and the queue for the only food stall, with only 1 serving was endless!! Anyway, we got seated straight away, outside. Served very quickly, even though it was packed inside. The food was very good and plenty of it. Lovely staff who
The best meal out I've had in years! The food was excellent and plenty, and you can taste the good quality ingredients. There's a good range of drinks including some very good less-widely-known ales. The staff gave excellent service as well as being friendly and warm! What a great experience, I'll d

Came here after a visit to Hoghton Tower. The beer was good and the staff superb. Special mention to the young barman who was exceptionally friendly, good-natured and helpful, who couldn't do enough for us with our slightly awkward combination of toddler and dog.
We dined there Bank Holiday Monday. The menu choice was excellent - with some additional specials as well. We had three courses and all the food was excellent, tasty and piping hot. It was a great meal - made even better by the young lady who served us - so polite, helpful and 'smiley', in fact all
